Señora Lola Taquería — Restaurant in Alexandria

We had high hopes given the reviews, but we didn’t like much about Senora Lola’s. First, this is more of a bar than a family retaurant. I wouldn’t bring kids here. I personally liked the chips they served, but my husband did not. He did like the Horchata. The salsa they served with the chips was store bought. I saw the gallons of the salsa lined up in the kitchen. We ordered the torta and the quesadilla, and they were awful. Stale bread, cheap cheese. My experience at Señora Lola Taqueria was very disappointing. Arriving at lunchtime to find the place completely empty should have been a warning sign. Unfortunately, the food confirmed my doubts. The tacos I ordered were far from enjoyable—I couldn’t even finish them. The meat tasted old, had an unpleasant smell, and was overly seasoned to the point of being overwhelming. I understand everyone has off days, but this was not what I expected. I hope they can address these issues to improve the quality of their food...
