I travel the states for bowls of Pho. I pride myself in the authentic taste of the broth and freshness of the ingredients. I try my best of offer my take. Here goes... I ordered the usual spring rolls for appetizers and an extra large (Xe Lua) of the special (Dac Biet) pho. The name of this place is deceiving. The bowls aren't all that super in size 😉 However, the taste is true to the spirit of my mom and grandma. Ingredients, tripe was clean of any tract taste and the beef was traditional and the pieces of tendon and beef balls round out the favors folks know and love. Plate of veggies and basil was small, I love Thai basil a little more would have gone a lone way. I don't like to ask for more...3.5 stars The spring rolls were good too, and they're stuff packed with rice noodles that it ate like a meal. I couldn't finish them and usually, I do. 4.5 stars Unlimited Hot tea was .75 cents, but eating hot pho on a warm day...stick with the ice tea. They also provided me with a closing traditional Vietnamese dessert...Chè.
Overall 4 stars which begs what can they do to get it to 5 stars? I think they're at their limit in terms of Pho
I was able to enjoy the outside seating under the covers....
Read moreThis place is a rip-off. I dine in with a friend he ordered regular pho and I ordered pho superbowl thinking that I'll be getting a little more meat and a little more noodle for the price I'm paying. When they brought out the food I looked at my friend's pho and I looked at mines there's no difference between the two. The bowls are about the same size, same amount of ingredients, and same amount of broth, and yet my pho superbowl cost alot more.
I went to their website and clicked on the menu and browsed through the menu. Once I decided what I wanted, I called in and place an order. When I went in to pick up my order, I notice I was over charged. I question my bill with the clerk and I show him the price on their website. He said "the prices on their website is about 2 years old", and the price on the website is outdated. They are too lazy to updated the prices on their website, and they will not honor the online prices on their own website. I will not set foot in this place nor will I refer anyone to this...
Read moreThe pho special is really tasty. It's not the usual phos that we eat out there, it's more light, less greasy, and much more flavorful. Didn't feel thirsty after eating, I am assuming the soup broth is not made with MSG or not as much MSG.
The egg rolls are so so so so so so good! They have taro stuffed in the egg roll that made the texture creamy with each bite! Definitely recommend having the egg rolls!
Also very surprised by seeing others adding more soup as they eat, I am assuming it's complementary?
When we asked for the check, they gave us free desserts also!! It tasted really good...
Must give a 5 star for a pho place like this! Can really feel the heart and details being put into the dishes!!!!
Would love to go back again like tomorrow! 😆🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
We went around 1 pm today, and there were line ups all the way until 2 something... So the place is...
