Bun N Burger — Restaurant in Alhambra

CASH ONLY. We stopped in for our first time as a party of two this past weekend and even though it wasn’t that crowded and we just ordered an omelette and pancakes & eggs we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive! Literally OVER an hour! Also, the menu is very small and as mentioned it is cash only. Our server was very polite and very nice just everything took forever. Not the sort of place you would want to go to if you are in a rush based on comments from other diners around us. I do like the inside interior, it has a bunch of Americana strewn over the walls and makes it feel like a local country diner. They also have a parking lot in back so is fairly easy to find a space or you can also just do free street parking.

Even though the service was extremely slow and it is cash only it is very fairly priced and the food quality is very good. Everything that we ordered came out great it just took forever to come out. For my first visit I chose the Special Omelette and really enjoyed the marinated steak and the guacamole on top. It was a great sized portion and I honestly really liked the everything about it. If it weren’t for the service delays, I would’ve definitely given a four or possibly even five out of five. I may try again in the future if I’m in the area, but certainly not if...

What can I say! This place looks and feels as if it has a lot of history and not only that but the decor makes you feel as if you’re part of the history. From the moment you enter the restaurant you get the nostalgic diner feeling that I’m very fond of. Upon entering we were greeted and seated within a minute and the lovely lady whose name I did not get took our drink orders and returned very promptly to take down our food orders. My friend had the huevos con chorizo (scrambled eggs with pork sausage), the other had the steak and eggs and I ordered the chicken enchiladas. Even though it was busy on New Year’s Day, the food came out within 15 minutes of ordering which was very impressive in my opinion. I had a bite of my friend’s eggs with pork sausage and my oh my were they delicious. The chicken enchiladas were not spicy at all; I wish they had more flavor to them. I had to drench them in the small cup of salsa they provide you with when you sit down.

But regardless of the lack of flavor from the enchiladas, they did have many specials that day ranging from chocolate chip pancakes to omelettes. The place itself feels like home and the staff is very attentive and genuinely nice. I will definitely return to try other items...

A friend of ours recommended to us Bun N Burger he and his wife say the food is really good and restaurant have a classic theme from many generations things you don't see anymore. Our friends tell us it's CASH ONLY bring cash or you have to walk two block to the CVS to get cash at the ATM. Many people come to Bun N Burger to have breakfast or lunch they enjoy the food. We step in the restaurant it feel like going back in time then waitress show our table and also hand us the menu. We were looking at the menu and decided what to order my wife order the chorizo plate and waffle and decided to order the Bun N Burger omlette comes with toast.

The waitess brought the food it looks so good including my Bun N Burger omlette I took a bite the omlette was very favorable with the steak and onion,green pepper I enjoy it and also I like is the home potato very good especially the guacamole on top the omlette.
