Well, let's first start off with the generous portions of french fries that are given with the pastrami combo. The fries are plentiful, crispy, tasty, and not greasy. Did I mention that they give you a copious serving of fries? Anyway, I tried the pastrami combo that comes with a pastrami sub, fries, and a medium soda. The pastrami is rather tasty with its pickles, mustard, and plenty of pastrami meat on a French roll, the meat is a little salty but pastrami and cold cuts are suppose to be salty. Anyways, your combo comes with a medium soda and some of the niecest, crispy and delicious fries it's well worth the admission at 20.00 bucks plus tax. The ambiance is nice, quite with plenty of light in the patio area that is well maintained and clean. The cashier is friendly and courteous, and he seems to know that it's the customer that pays his salary. They are a very respectful and friendly staff that whip up some very delicious and reasonably priced food. It's my go-to place when I'm in the mood for a...
Read moreI grew up right down the street from this place. I've been going here for so long that I remember when you didn't pay until your food was ready. I've never been disappointed with anything that I've ordered from there. But to narrow it down my go to is the pastrami and chili cheese fries. The pastrami is great maybe not the best but it's always been very enjoyable, but when it comes to their chili cheese fries. Those are hands down the best that I've ever had anywhere, and they do not skimp on the size of the portion of them or the pastrami. I can't recall 1 time where I was actually able to finish them, so I always had an extra meal out of it that I could take home. Whenever I'm anywhere nearby I do my best to stop by there. Even if I'm not hungry at that moment, I'll literally stop just get something to bring...
Read moreWhile the pastrami is pretty tender, it does run on the salty side. They use skinny fries, which are serviceable. They did seem better than In N Out fries though. The avocado sauce was unexpectedly bold in flavor, featuring a spicy kick that complimented the avocado flavor. The zuchini fries, though generous in quantity, also long and thin, had unseasoned batter. This was accompanied by what seemed like bottled ranch. Unfortunately, the zuchini fries are just outclassed by the ones at Pharo's. Considering that Tops Jr is just a counter and two picnic tables, the prices feel rather expensive. Although similar to the Hat in that respect, the ambiance is much better at the...
