Alhambra Market — Local services in Alhambra

I have been coming for years, even before their ownership change, to this little market for their marinated meats, and the best small jicamas and the friendliest lady Alta. For the first time ever, I got bad marinated chicken which I bought on Sunday afternoon 12/1/24. When I opened the refrigerated package for dinner the next day 12/2/24, it smelled a little off. I went ahead and cooked it thoroughly thinking maybe it was me, but it tasted rotten. So I packaged up the 2 lbs less one bite and brought it back to the store on 12/3/24 for a refund. To my shock and astonishment, the store has a 24-hr return policy which is printed on the bottom of receipt. The manager Andy would not accept the bad meat as it was outside the 24-hr window. It was more disappointing to me than the small $$ amt. I was not returning something because I changed my mind. I was returning because they sold me a spoiled and dangerous food item. I was expecting them to stand behind their quality and reputation, small independent market notwithstanding....

Working close by in So Pas and wanted a cold convenient Coke Cola 20 oz and something to go with it. Well let me give you all a heads up? The pan dulce not very fresh! The Coke Cola was fine. What got me was that I had my heart set on the combo. Usually don't give these kind of ratings but you know if I do it's cause they need correcting. I really don’t like to go there because there over priced and the owners are really rude. I go there to get sometimes to get a few things I for get at the other markets. I when in an I got myself a 3 pack Michelada models. An one of the cans had mole on it. I didn’t notice it until I got home. This wasn’t the first time. This the last time I’m go there!!! I gave this place so many changes. Yeah I’m done there...
