Super Albert Mexican Food — Restaurant in Alhambra

This is the second time I have come into this place. This is the second time I was disappointed with the food. The first time I ate the chorizo plate. The chorizo had no flavor whatsoever. It was dry. The beans and rice were great! The cashier rude. I thought she might have been having a bad day until I started speaking Spanish to her.

Today I go in to have a bowl of menudo. The cashier said they only serve menudo until it last. After that they don't serve it any longer. Wow! The cashier said this is what happens when you're late. Excuse me for having gone to church on a Sunday morning and doing church duties.

Unfortunately, I settled for a lengua plate. Very disappointed in that meal as well. There was very little lengua. A lot of vegetables and sauce. It was way too spicy for me. I couldn't taste the meat. It's been my experience if the meat is covered in too much sauce and spiciness,what are they hiding?

I come to realize this place is not a restaurant but a Mexican fast-food place. I am going to give it one more try but if I am disappointed again, I will not...

Got myself a carne asada fries and it was so good! 👌 I ordered it to be a bit over cooked because I love me some carne asada grill marks. So this is the closest thing. It also comes withi believe, cream cheese or sour cream? underneath the steak? (I did not read what the carne asada fries igrendients were nor did i ask. I was simly hingry for a delicious basket of fries.). Buuuuttt,That cheese melts real nice! That makes a diff:) one thing you must do though, is ask if it comes with you know, pico de gallo or something...order it!!! it was quite dry for my liking. Although the creme cheese makes it feel more moist The acidity of the pico de gallo and crunch would make it feel more balanced . And 🔥 fireee I also added red salsa (med. for my taste) and green salsa(mild)

Lady swiped my card and somehow it got declined and I had money. She swiped like 3x more. But I think she read it wrong. Because I walked away she was disrespectful and made an announcement to a long line of customers that I had no money. Call the bank immediately and was on the phone with the bank and there were transactions. But 1 minute later after a person finished ordering she called me to give my receipt and said my card was charged. That was after she made the announcement and embarrassed me in front of my that I was buying food for. Another Occasion she had an issue where she did not give my Uber Eats driver food. The cook had to tell her about Uber Eats. Besides these incidents of food is good and a lot of the people are nice but I think that announcement was embarrassing and frustrating and that's just way too much. The food is always good.
