Citrus Fresh Grill — Restaurant in Aliso Viejo

I do love Renaissance but this Citrus hmmm... I gave two stars because the food is actually good, but the service there is absolutely not the best, I have been there three times and the the times I was there it was a bad experience sadly. I want to love the place but you guys have to step it out with the service. First time the waitress charged me in my Club membership $49.99 but I paid cash! And I just found out a month later when I was looking at my club statement and I call manager and they fix the error, second time the same waitress charged me for an extra item I did not order... Also forgot to tell me Kids eat for free thursday when you buy an entree which we did but also got charged for my son's meal ( I did not know about the kids special) I found out later on and my third time was today when clearly the Citrus restaurant was not that busy because the majority of members were outside in the pool and eating the memorial day special, well I decide to go to Citrus and eat something quick since my boy was very hungry, I sat there and waited for good 5 minutes to get the menu, ( while two waitress are there chatting in front of me) then my food was ready ( I saw it sitting there for more than 8 mins) and the waitress was no where to be found, ( again, it was probably 4 clients in Citrus) so I got up and picked up my food, as Im fixing the plate for my boy I realized I dont have napkins, spoons or anything so I get up again and I get them ( at this time the waitress was already there by where the chef is) food was delicious but service disappointed me...

I ordered the Renaissance Club with a Balsamic Vinaigrette romaine lettuce salad and wow was it fresh tasting and differently not hotel food. The atmosphere is casual elegant and the patio is a very peaceful (maybe because the hotel guest are out and about). I truly enjoyed my lunch and will be back soon to try dinner.

The Renaissance Club is $16. Pepsi is $4

Update 12/15/23: Went back everyday for the rest of the week and tried some other dishes and wow! I would say, taco Tuesday tacos are my favorite.

Had breakfast with my fiancé here . The service was just immaculate. I don’t know if it’s because we were the first ones here , but all of the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The environment was pretty chill and relaxing . I ordered the breakfast sandwich and some eggs and potatoes which were so flavorful and just so tasteful ! My fiancé ordered the French toast and the omelette. They did not let us down ! Food was just scrumptious! Will be going back ! By the way , the table we sat at was just too pleasuring , I fell in love...
