RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! The WORST customer service EVER! Honestly makes me want to vomit. I took a very special estate pendant to this place for a very easy repair (removing a brooch backing and a solder repair). They assured me it would be fine and they'd make sure everything was ok including that the diamonds were tight and secure. When I picked it up today I noticed a bunch of yellow glue behind the diamonds that wasn't there before. The manager said it must of been there before and that when they heated it, it shows up. Then when I touched it, a diamond popped out right in front of her. She's like oh you'll need it re-tipped and another repair done on top of the cost already paid for today. Then she tells me they can reset the diamond but there's no guarantee!!!! What???? Are you serious?! Never in years has a stone fallen out on this piece before like that! She also tells me they never use glue so it wasn't them but then later tells me they can put the diamond back in and glue it! Lies!
Then she tells me that they'll look at it next week because they have other more important jobs this weekend. I've already left my piece there all week. The solder job is awful too! Looks not polished and the gold is lumpy. A mall jeweler could of done better! She told me her jeweler is a master jeweler but obviously he missed the big chunks of yellow glue that either they put there themselves or if it was pre-existing they never bothered to check if the diamonds were ok. Oh yeah and they "text" you when the job is done. Real professional!!! Calling your customers is way more classy.
Then she tells me to leave and take it somewhere else. Never once assuring me that they'll fix my pendant or make it right. When I asked for her name (which I now know is Gina,frizzy brown hair and glasses, after reading all the other negative reviews) she refused to give me her name!!! She even asked if "I really was going to play that game." What are you hiding? Afraid you'll get called out for your terrible and RUDE service?!!! They then hastily reset the loose diamond and charged me! Honestly I took it home and tested all the diamonds! That's how much I don't trust this company!
DO NOT go here!! Learn from me and others who have posted on Yelp! I wish I would of never trusted them with anything of mine! Never again!!! Horrible customer service and the worst quality of work...

My fiance & I came in last February and were curious how much it would cost to remove an inscription and add in a new one onto a family heirloom ring and then we were curious to inquire about rings comparable to something we had found at Costco. Brian graciously showed us around the store and said that he could make something similar to the Costco ring, but better, for the same price. We weren't ready to start on either ring, but once June came around we were so excited to come back and see Brian again. From the second we walked in for both of our rings, Brian always remembered us and made us feel as special as the first time we came in. He spent the time with us to really make sure we got what we both wanted, even designing my ring from scratch and letting us see it as it continued on throughout the production process. My fiance's ring was finished first and South Bay did a GREAT job modernizing it and upgrading it to what it is now. It's like a brand new ring, its perfect, the inscription was just the way I had imagined it and my fiance is thrilled with it. Yesterday, we got to pick up my ring. It is so beautiful and it is bigger than I could ever have imagined it to be with our budget and I was speechless when I saw it. I never ever imagined that something that perfect would ever belong to me- it is truly a treasure that I am going to cherish for the rest of my life. Brian always treated me and my wife with respect and made sure every detail and follow up was immaculate. His use of technology is second to none and for us this meant including both symbolism in the ring setting (an anchor) and infusion of even our birth stones on the inside of the ring. Since moving his shop across the parking lot and taking over as owner, his shop has gotten even better at customer care. One of my wife’s favorite rings started to bare some flaws and when I brought it to Brian at South Bay, he decided to redo the whole thing at virtually zero cost. It’s so refreshing to know that I have a truly professional jeweler who will quote me prices with maximum integrity and always keep my budget in mind. I have recommended South Bay Jewelry to many friends/family and will continue to get all my routine cleanings and future endeavors done with Brian and his team....
