Great tasting food, great quantity of food, great prices. It's all across the broad 8/10 - as far as the food taste and quality, but the good quantity and reasonable prices push this spot up to the 5/5 stars. I'd come here a lot if I was a local. Definitely check this out if you are in the area if you want to stop by for a great lunch spot. The sandwiches, salads, and coffee are upscale for the rural area, but similar to what you would find in a low of other more developed areas. People seem to really appreciate this spot, though! I tried the fig salad with Mugshots' version of a "You pick 2" sandwich and salad deal and left plenty full for lunch with the amount of salad I got pairing with my sandwhich. I tried most of my group's coffee, and the only downside was the cortado I got was pretty poor-mediocre. Cortados are not on their menu to be fair and other coffee drinks were good, so I don't think it's fair to knock a star off for that. Overall, great eatery. Will be back if I'm in the area!

This was a nice cafe with a comfy atmosphere and good views from the windows. The menu was varied with lots of interesting sounding options, and the staff was friendly. It was a popular place during my visit. I ended up having the latte and a chocolate croissant to go, and both were decent. This seems like a nice place to visit if you’re in downtown Allegan.

Mugshots is our favorite restaurant in Allegan! Menu items are creative, fresh, and delicious. This morning we ordered the Patty Hearst, The Mountie, and the LA Law smoothie ($4.99/16oz). You have to come back many times to try the plethora of unique soups, sandwiches, salads, and drinks.

Stayed in Allegan for a weekend away and had mugshots twice while we were here The baristas are knowledgeable and helpful and the cafe is adorable with a bunch of gift options and a wide array of what I think are whole beans in different roasts, not sure if there are already ground options? I had two specialty coffees with oatmilk at 20oz, I can't remember the name of the first one(it had honey) but the second was the flatfoot, both were delicious, not overly sweet so you can still taste the espresso and perfectly priced Also purchased a couple baked goods, a smore brownie and strawberry lemon cupcake with cream cheese frosting, haven't tasted them yet but can only imagine it will be just as fantastic as the coffee Absolutely better quality then any comparable larger chain There is some outside seating out front, unfortunately their back patio is closed for repairs but I was told it should be opened soon, I peaked around a bit and it'll be beautiful so definitely want to visit again so I get to see it completed If you don't want to sit, It's centrally located in the historic downtown area so there are places to walk around with your treats, there's construction on some parts but the stores are all still open so don't let it deter you from exploring Overall, a fantastic place and will be returning in the future when we...

This is my favorite coffee shop that has been a part of my routine for several years now. The staff is friendly and the retention is great- I've been seeing the same familiar faces for years. They adhere to high quality standards and have a great selection of deserts (including a gluten-free option!), loose tea, bulk coffee, and breakfast/lunch menu. My favorite is the Patty Hearst- a breakfast sandwich with egg, brie, spinach and grey poupon. I often get it with a side of fresh fruit. They have a rewards program for people purchasing coffees on a regular basis. Their prices are affordable and a fraction of what you may pay in larger cities (i.e. Grand Rapids). My only disappointment with this establishment is their hours - they are not open for coffee after work or dinner, and...
