This past Saturday was our third year in a row going to Allegan Event for my brother's birthday. Amoung our families, we have kids ranging from ages 2-5, and it is great fun for all. The big ropes coarse is a little scary for first-timers, but the mini course is great for littles and building up their confidence.
I highly recommend purchasing a package that includes the climbing and games as it is a significantly better deal. This past visit, your staff was outstanding! Emily was awesome! Super efficient and attentive to the dozens of kids and people everywhere needing harnesses put on and removed, and moving people in and out of areas. It was very busy and she did a great job, and was so kind to my kiddo who was very nervous this time around. The young man who was selling wrist bands at the front and counting tickets for prizes was also awesome! I didn't catch his name, but he deserves a major shout out for his awesome attitude and excellent customer service on such a busy day!
My one complaint: the food is AWFUL! I paid $36 (including tip) for pretzel bites that were hard as rocks and chicken tenders that weren't fried enough for the coating to be fully solidified. $2 upcharge for six burnt waffle fries?! Never again. Several other items were well past their expiration date, which thankfully staff noticed before we purchased them; out of vanilla ice cream, so no floats, etc. I will say the pizza is quite decent, so if ya need to eat, that is the way to go. But this kitchen is just not good or regularly stocked enough to justify the rule of no outside food. We went for real food at a local restaurant after that also allowed us to eat the birthday cake we brought with us. You should at least let parties enjoy their cakes since you encourage booking parties and don't even sell cake. The abysmal food / rules about outside food are reason for losing a star. We will definitely be returning for the...
Read moreFun place, kids had a ball, but there is room for improvement. Having never been there before, The billing system is confusing. For example it was not clear that the maze was not part of the summer fun pack. Web site needs more description on attractions and protocol. We entered the maze thinking it was a self serve type of attraction as there was no attendant stationed near the entrance and the signs said enter at your own risk. Albeit I did not read the sign in entirety. Shortly after entering an attendant ran out and scolded us. I did purchase maze tickets online prior to arriving and I assumed the wrist band covered the maze. Turns out Front desk attendant failed to give us the maze tickets when we 1st arrived or explain the maze required separate tickets from the wrist band. Very frustrating especially after being reprimanded. We also found it quite terrible that on a scorching hot day, after 30 minutes in the maze, snack bar refused to provide free ice water and wanted $.24 cents for a cup. After spending nearly $300 for tickets the water is $.24? Seriously? I over heard one attendan complaining about kids taking too long in the maze when I was within ear shot, not very professional. About an hour into the three hour ropes course experience an attendant came swinging over to check our time to make sure we were not violating the rules, which I found completely unnecessary seeing there were very few people on the course af the time. Overall the attractions are fun but we felt nickle and dimmed, needs a more comprehensive tickets system and better...
Read moreSuper clean. Great lighting. Super friendly and knowledgabe staff. Place was moderately busy and the automated stuff was really cool. I didn't have to sign a waiver at all which I thought was strange because we frequent Sky Zone and they make you do one there. I never once felt unsafe at all. And you are crossing these rope courses 10 and 20 feet in the air with people under you. You are clipped to a track overhead the whole time you are up there and it works. There are a dozen rock climbing walls and a ropes course for little people and a different one for everyone else. They have a small arcade with prizes and a card/ticket system and a place where you can get food but we did not. Two long ziplines and a free fall at the end. Plan on spending a hundred bucks if 4 people are going to play but go. I'm not really in shape so the rock walls were tough but my 11 year old was having a blast. The ropes course was work and I'm sure I'll be sure tomorrow but it was worth it. Thanks for the amazing time! Oh - if I HAD to complain about something it would be the staffing felt a tad light. Like they couldn't keep up with the number of guests. And that wasn't really an issue until we had been there two hours already and we were ready to go and couldn't get anyone to let us use the tickets we had earned. We would go back and it's a 90 minute drive....
