I signed up for their reward program and was offered free primo bread. I called to order and use my free offer and unfortunately it wasn't in the system. I even gave them the code and I'm not in the system. We ended up just ordering the $50 party tray combo that comes with chicken and 3 sides. We drove around 20-30 minutes just going because we really wanted some broasted potatoes and chicken, and pizza! We drove back home another half hour and it was a big disappointment. The potatoes were huge and burned potatoes - see the photos for yourself. The oil was very old and nasty which they used to fry them. Very bland and not good wedges. The chicken also fried in the same oil so you can see the black specks of burnt stuff from old oil. Tasteless chicken. I believe they claimed to have the "Biggest" chicken pieces in the state or something like that which is a lie - false advertising. The pizza looked good in the outside and the outer pieces which were the crusted pizza were cooked and tasted pretty good. As you went to the middle it was under cooked and doughy. Look at the photos for yourself. You can see the uncooked dough as it stretches and no thats not cheese, you can see the sauce is on top of the doughy part that is undercooked. The cheese is the one on top and its very distinguishable. The cole slaw.... well we didn't get any soooo you failed on that part too because we ordered cole slaw as one of our sides. The mashed potatoes were good but I really didn't like the flavor of the gravy. Husband picked them up and stated they were polite in person. I gave 2 stars for being polity and because of the pizza, the taste was there but it was doughy and undercooked in the middle. In the end, I wouldn't drive 20-30 mins for this place. Its not worth it. I also don't want to come back to make this order right. Sorry. I placed this order back in July, I believe July 3rd, 2019 if I go by my photos date.

So, we've been loyal Primo's patrons for almost 14 years now, and I cannot hold back any longer. I've been revisiting older dishes I stopped getting a couple years ago to give them a second or a third chance... and I regret it. The "Pizza Box Nachos" are the last choice. They're served in a SMALL pizza box, and to my surprise, only cover 1/4 of the box. The taste? Horrible. The chips are SO hard and *everything* was congealed and fused together within 8 minutes of walking out their door to our home that they risked dental health if we ate them. The nachos had been sitting for a *very* long time before we picked them up. The photo shows $9 worth of nachos. I removed the lettuce and jalapeño option. The meat was cold and we wasted good money on both those and the rib dinner we got as well. The ribs were so tough they needed strong silverware to cut up, not the plastic versions they hand out. $35 wasted... would YOU enjoy these Pizza Box Nachos if they came across your table?

Have lived in Allen Park for almost 6 years now and there’s just something about Primos that keeps us coming back! We all prefer their thin crust large pepperoni and cheese with light sauce. I’ve order their pizza bread, ribs, broasted chicken, wings, primo bread, hot subs and their antipasto salad we have never been disappointed with anything ever. Their party packs too, pepperoni party tray pizza that they’ll double cut for you we order them for all the kids birthdays. Their staff has always been on point and welcoming and truthfully this post is probably going to make a lot of readers laugh and be like duuuuuuh we already knew that. Ha! But I feel like some respect needs to be given to these people they all do a fine job serving AP some pizza pies! Cheers!

Had to delete and rewrite this review because the owner responded with nonsense.

First food - a baseball sized roll that hurts to bite. French fries, generic, soggy definitely bought wholesale. Just gross and tasteless. Coleslaw was decent for the tiniest little spoonful they give you. Now the RIBS, if you want tiny, fatty little slabs, then this is your place. I'm starving after eating a half slab. Then to charge what they charge, should be criminal.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do yourself a favor, if you want ribs that are delicious and full of meat... Go somewhere else! I promise you'll be disappointed if you order ribs from here.

The owner thinks there something special, very delusional.

Before they can mention this, yes I thought I was ordering from primos in Livonia(5*) I used Uber eats(not doordash) as a business owner you have a responsibility to make sure the delivery driver has a hot and cold bag. They didn't and the food arrived ice cold.

So not only was the food terrible, it was an ice cube.

Called the restaurant (not for anything free from them, I would never eat their food again) we tried them for subs as well, it's all bread! Big chewy bread. The manager or owner could only get defensive, instead of trying to understand the problem.

GO...

I visited Primo’s on a Sunday evening for dinner, and it was absolutely wonderful. The service was excellent, and even when a small issue came up with one of our meals, the staff handled it perfectly. By the time we got home, one of our dishes had cooled off, so I brought it back—and without hesitation, they remade it fresh and even added a little extra food on the side for the inconvenience. That level of care says a lot about how much they value their customers.

I’ve been coming to Primo’s for years, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. Even when something goes wrong, the team always goes above and beyond to make it right. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service has always been top-notch.

A big shoutout to one of the managers, Josh, and the amazing staff, as well as the owner, Tim, who I’ve known for years. He has kept this place thriving as one of Downriver’s greatest staples in the community.

If you’re looking for great pizza, outstanding service, and a place that truly cares about its customers, Primo’s is the spot....
