Beets Juice Bar Allendale — Restaurant in Allendale

I am not sure what happen because I've been to this establishment before and the experience I've received this summer was so head scratching. I went on two different occasions this summer and the qaulity of my drinks were horrible. There were chucks in it and it just did not taste the same and I had to throw away. What really got to me was the service. I order and pay for my drinks and both times I had to wait for like 15 mins while I saw other customers order and collect there drinks. I had to walk up and ask for my drink and all I got was sorry we miss you. I don't want to say there is some race undertone because I am a black women and this is very much a white area but it really felt like that. This took place early summer and it has been on my mind which is why I am writing. I really enjoy the smoothies and bowls here, but I get kind of concerned when I see who I assume is the owner walking around with no mask, and with other children and friends/family members doing the same inside the building. It’s a great location and the employees were very friendly, but I just hope they are doing temperature checks before each shift, especially if the owner seems lax about mask wearing. With something like food, it just really freaks me out during a pandemic if people aren’t following the protocol, and I would hate to see something get traced back to a new restaurant. Overall, if I didn’t feel uncomfortable from seeing about 4 people inside not wearing a mask when ordering my bowl, I would give this place 5/5 stars, because the smoothies/bowls/juice/bites are very yummy...

Beets is always one of my favorite spots to go. Ingredients are always fresh and there are simply no bad choices on the menu, I’ve tried almost everything at least once. The performance bowl with light granola is usually my go to, but the to-go juices are a close runner up. The staff is always very friendly and patient, even when dealing with the occasional rude customer. They have done great job on updating their website and social media pages to keep everyone easily informed about what’s going on at their stores. With the state that the world has been in, I’m so glad one of my favorite small local businesses has been able to keep its doors open the way it has over the last few years. Can’t wait to...
