Strange Brew Tavern — Restaurant in Allentown

Usually frequent there every once and awhile for special nights out a few times a month. Normally love the place, the food, the atmosphere, the specials, all of it, but I went in there tonight , and that all changed. Was harassed by the bartender about what my order might be for the kitchen even though I stated I was waiting for a friend (& was not there that long, plus had already ordered a drink), on top of that it was several hours before the kitchen closed. Ignored me when I actually went up to make an order. Waited for 25 mins while she joked with the same group of customers, while I was standing there with no acknowledgement. Eventually I gave up and just went back to my table. She then had the audacity to weight in on the conversation that me and my friend were having privately away from the bar, when we paid, after all of that. Honestly not sure I'll be returning again. I think I'll be finding a new neighbor bar...

It just does not get any better than this in Lehigh Valley! I have been there a half a dozen times now and it just keep getting better! The food is awesome! If you walk out of there hungry... it is your own fault. Portions are BIG!!! Had there wings on wing night (Sweet and sweaty) and was some of the best sauce I ever had... Had the smokestack sandwich today and it was outstanding!!! Found out today... they smoke their own meat. I have gotten to know one of the owners, Scott. He is very hospitable and super friendly. He knows his business and put on quite a beer event on Tuesday Night called Hop Head Heaven 2. 17 IPA's including Hop Slam, Wings Of Armageddon, Hi Res, Jai Alai!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!!? No one topped that!! I was knockin down the doors just for those! Did I mention I travel 45 minutes to get there! I always have a lot of fun and am a lifer!! A...

Owner has a really crappy attitude and its very unprofessional and rude based on what u look like or what u wearing..if u ask me i think he is a lil racist against latinos every time i have come here i had bad service and was treated like if i was nothing and they just wanted my money.....also me and my girl never got asked for our I.D....and even dho i was the only one drinking and she is 20....i dont think is very safe because under age ppl can get away with drinkin if they wanted to..is very sad because this used to be a nice place and now its honestly a waste of time and a bad experience..and lets not forget the horrible food....plz stay sway from this place if u dont want to waste your time and money...and i forgot to add they over charged my credit card and added tip i dint put in.....stay away folks or u will get taken...
