First time coming here to this little gem. I know everybody has different tastes in what they like. But from the beginning I loved everything about this place!

I love the vibrant colors and decor and music. It wasn’t loud and obtrusive which made conversation easy. Our waiter Manny was incredibly positive and charismatic and really likeable. Great service! Never had to wait for refill and kept us stockpiled with chips and salsa.

And I love the chips. They are light and crisp and tasty. Salsa was good with just the right heat. Manny even brought us the salsa picosa which was spicier but had an amazing flavor profile from the roasted chili peppers.

I had the Philly fajitas which is a mix of the American Philly cheesesteak, well fajitas! I wasn’t sure at first if that flavor profile would mesh well but it absolutely does!

The meat was so tender when I went to pick up a piece to try it, it literally fell apart in my fingers! And everything tasted and mixed so well these fajitas literally just melt in your mouth.

I al a big can of this place and everyone there was so friendly and positive and just made it a very enjoyable experience and we left there fat and happy, and just feeling good overall. Maybe a little discomfort bc the food was so good I ate more than I should and still had plenty left over.

The prices are great, the food delicious, the service above par, and overall just a good experience. If this is how it always is, then I definitely have a new favorite spot for comida...

We went here on Sunday after church, and we were seated right away but after that it all went to the pots. They took our drink order, and then after that they brought our drinks and chips & dip. They took our order for 6 adults and went to put the order in. While we ate chip and dip we ran out of them and had to wait and wait before they brought more chips and dip. We had to wait for our meals forever and people that came in after us was getting their meals before us. We kept waiting, I would say around 30 minutes and they finally brought out our meals and we got 5 of the 6 dinners and we were waiting for her to bring out my daughters dinner for around 20 minutes and I was able to get the attention of our waitress and she came over and I asked her if they were going to bring out her dinner and the look on her face was surprised so I dont know if the kitchen forgot to make it but we had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes for her dinner to come out. The food was very good and our waitress was doing the best she could, but she was being pulled in so many directions. She had a lot of tables really way too many for 1 waitress so I would recommend hiring more waitresses, because the food and the waitress that was serving us was great, but was being pulled in 20...

Have had referrals from many people about this restaurant, decided to try after months of hearing about it. We live, at most, five minutes away. Was excited to see what all the hype was about. Got food out once at home, everything was cool, barely room temperature. Two of the burritos (Texas burritos) were quite large, and were enjoyed by the two family members who ordered them... this is where anything positive ends.. My $15 "Super Burrito" was the size of a small banana. How do I know? We happened to have a couple of them in the kitchen, and I took a comparison picture. I can get a better and bigger one from Taco Bell for under $5, and it will also have flavor. The ground beef isn't seasoned. They throw in a couple of tomatoes or something, and that's what passes for taco/burrito meat. No beans in the duper burrito. The nachos also had (unseasoned) taco meat, and were very soggy. Fries were old/stale: they'd been resting quite a while. Whatever this was, it was not Mexican food. We just spent approximately $100 for a family of 6 at this HIGHLY OVERPRICED and severely over rated restaurant. You could not pay me to order from here again. If I had the option, I would rate with...

Not being a local to Alma and driving through looking for a good spot to stop for Mexican food, I'm always skeptical because Mexican food is either good or it's not, El Trio was EXCELLENT! We have pretty high standards and are picky when it comes to Mexican food (being California natives, raised on good Mexican food) we were so glad we stopped here, the reviews on google were spot on, and the place was packed with people, Full parking lot of cars we knew we hit the right restaurant. We were seated immediately, brought chips and salsa immediately, drinks immediately and we placed our order, cheese enchiladas chile rellano (poblano chiles) rice and beans. We got our plate and the food was wonderful! Excellent flavor, the beans were home made, the rice was delicious, chile rellano was excellent and cheese enchilada had wonderful flavor. Very happy we stopped here! Wish we lived closer.
