We are locals and I have been wanting to try this place since they had opened up. As soon as we walked in the door, I was already disappointed. We stood there for a good 2 minutes before anybody came to see us and they were not very busy at all. They did not have a sign telling us to see ourselves or wait to be seated so since we had to wait a bit that would have been nice to know. But they do have to be seated and she was not very friendly the one that was seating us. As soon as we sat down, our server was there and we were touching the table because it felt a little weird and she realized we had been seated at a table that had not been cleaned yet. So that obviously was a major turn off and not being acknowledged whenever we walked in the door it just already wasn't going how I wanted it to go. Our server was super duper friendly! I wanted the chicken fried steak but they were out of it. Rolls are brought to you to eat on while you're waiting for your food. I decided to get the chicken and you only get one side and it was $14. After receiving our food, that was an expensive price for what I got. You should at least get a second side. I could have paid $3 more to get bacon OR cheese OR mushrooms on top of my chicken OR $5 for all three but I did not want to pay for the extra toppings. My chicken was very tender and my brussel sprouts were very good. My husband got the New York strip and it was cooked just as he requested. The restaurant looked clean and there is plenty of parking. They have TVs up and we were watching a boxing match. I realize things are more expensive now, but even with that we feel like it was overpriced, or if there was another side added for you or not have to pay extra for toppings that might have made everything a little better. But not being acknowledged for about 2 minutes after walking in, being sat at a dirty table, being out of what I chose to eat, and then the amount of food that was on the plate...... We just did not have the experience that we...
Read moreI went in with zero expectations and left very pleased. It wasn’t very busy and we were seated quickly. Our server was pleasant and just the right amount of attentive. My salad was very fresh and crispy and a good temperature. The ranch dressing tasted good and did not taste like it was out of a bottle. They also brought two tubs of it which I appreciated and did use. The bread was very good as well, my only suggestion with that is to meter it a little more. As in to start maybe just bring out 2 rolls per person. If someone wants more they’ll ask. In my mind that does two things, cuts down on a cost over time and keeps the bread that is served, hot/warm. Personally I don’t care if sweet yeasty bread is warm, room temp or cold. It’s all good. It was good enough I ate the bread with some butter without adding any honey. Moving on, our ribeye was perfectly done and tasted great. I don’t prefer butterfly shrimp but it was fresh and not overdone. Both the steak and the shrimp were the right temperature as well. One of us had a loaded baked potato and one of us had steamed veggies. Both of these items were done well also. I did add some butter to the veggies because…well… butter, it makes everything better. Before our meal was done we picked up a new server because our first one’s shift had ended and the new girl came and checked on us and let us know she was our new server. Small thing but I appreciated that. Thank you for not having paper straws. Thank you for having the heavy duty paper napkins. I spied a cinnamon roll on the menu and am scheming when to come get one. We did not have room...
Read moreWe didn't have a very good experience at all, still thinking about going back and trying it out again cuz I was really excited about having a steakhouse in Alma. So first off we sit down it took a while to get drinks and after ordering it took a while to get our salad. The rolls we're tasty. I ordered my sirloin medium well meaning it should be mostly brown in the middle maybe some pink I got it and it was bloody and mostly red in the middle I might have ate it if it was just kind of pink so I asked them to throw it on the grill a little longer and they did. My side was the roasted brussel sprouts they weren't that great. I still ate my food , I did take a bite and my husband's ribeye and it was pretty Good. I didn't eat all of my steak and I didn't take the leftovers home it wasn't that great. It came to check out time and we waited and waited for our waitress to come we were in the back corner along with three other couples around us she went to those other three couples and ignored us I tried to get her attention and we just kept waiting. Me and my husband finally got up and went to the front and told them we need to pay so we can leave, they checked us out and we left. They made the excuse the waitress was busy and I was like yeah I get that but she went around all the people around us and at one time looked right at us. Not sure where the disconnect was . I also had a friend that went the week before me she said their steaks were cold when they got them. I get that they are new but I seem to a little bit unorganized hopefully with time their service...
