Very friendly traditional atmosphere. Very prompt and attentive service from very friendly waitresses and waiters. All staff seem quite professional.
This place has changed after being remodeled. It's no longer a friendly place.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to update this as my wife and I experienced quite possibly the worst service manners I have seen in quite a long time from anyplace. Mind you I have managed a restaurant before. The waiter we had this last time on May 6th 2023 was quite possibly the rudest and most obnoxious person I believe I have met in such a position. The establishment had been closed during renovations. So this was the first time I had been there since they reopened. It's definitely a different atmosphere altogether. It's more like boozer bar cantina now. If that's what you like then you might like this place. I would not consider it kid-friendly anymore ²1 1erat all. As for our waiter, he got both my wife's and my order messed up. Honestly she doesn't like Mexican food at all. She only goes there because of me and also because there's very few options in the small city of Alma. As for now, this place is completely OFF LIMITS until further notice. As for the food, I can not say. I only took one bite of the milanesa steak I ordered which turned out to be chicken. I would've been fine with that if I was told that they did not have any more of the steak and asked if I would sub for the chicken. But they did not do that. My wife absolutely hates refried beans. So she ordered Burritos Jalisco with chicken verifying with the waiter that beans were not listed as any of the ingredients in the burrito as per the menu. When we got her food immediately she could see refried beans oozing out the end of the burrito. I still hadn't gotten to the milanesa "chicken" that I thought was going to be steak yet. She could see that I was getting angry and actually was going to "let it go" and just eat it anyways as she was hungry. Then when I got to the milanesa chicken, shock turned n to rage. I kept myself calm as we both tried to get the waiters attention to question about the mix up. When we finally did get the waiters attention to complain, which I personally hate to complain, he gave my wife The "Evil Eye" as if he did not believe her. At this point I'm thinking maybe that it was a misunderstanding with language being the factor. Either way, at this point I would have expected him to take both plates back to the kitchen and find out what happened. He took my plate but did not take my wife's. I'm furious at this point. My wife asked if I wanted to go. And I did not hesitate, I said "Yes! We're done here." As I left I could not help but say something to them about this. Unless you like a Bar Cantina I would avoid this place...
Read moreWe used to eat here all the time. Sometimes multiple times in one week. The whole family was excited when I would say, hey you wanna grab some Lafiesta? We thought it was awesome for the taste buds and perfect for the wallet! We even ordered to go many times!
That all changed a few months back. Had my whole family there. We were laughing and enjoying our chips, salsa, cheese dip, and homemade guacamole. Then our food came. It all looked fantastic. Then I took a big bite of my chili rellano. Hmm, is that mint I taste? Yup spearmint. Not good in a chili rellano. Placed the bite of food in my hand. I had only bitten on it once, thank heavens. IT WAS SOMEONE'S ALREADY CHEWED CHEWING GUM IN MY FOOD. 🤢🤢
I called the waiter over, told him, handed him my plate, he left AND NEVER CAME BACK. After a bit, we asked for a manager.
WE explained that CHEWING Gum was in my food. HE JUST STARED AT US.
I pointed towards the kitchen as I was in full view of the cooks. ( one had his jaw dropped and in a blank stare, he was problem thinking, Oh that's were my gum went)
They offered nothing. ( in fairness, I was so disgusted that I just wanted to run and never look back)
We haven't eaten there since!
Ask if they have banned chawing gum use from the kitchen staff BEFORE...
Read moreOn the hunt for some excellent authentic Mexican food?? Look no further! For me, being from California, I'm kinda spoiled, with authentic Mexican food everywhere on every corner. And I've been trying local Mexican food restaurants here and there and LA Fiesta was excellent, from presentation to flavor, excellent all the way around and that's saying a lot since I ordered take out for us! We both ordered the lunch menu shredded chicken chimichanga. It came topped with cheese sauce, but not overwhelmingly just lightly topped and it also came with shredded lettuce, guacamole 🥑, sour cream, pico de gallo and rice and beans on the side. The take out bag also included a bag of chips and two containers of salsa, which by the way had excellent flavor, I poured some on top of my burrito and had chips and salsa with what was left. Highly recommend this place! I arrived around 11:50am on a Monday and the parking lot was PACKED! I would definitely go back again! I personally, like the flavor of the food here, better than the other Mexican restaurant over across from Walmart (I won't name it, but for people who live locally, unlike me, you'll know which one I'm...
