J. Christopher's — Restaurant in Alpharetta

Recent experience, food was good and we got 50% off. Unfortunately the server was either brand new of a complete moron. 1st, she doesn't understand the laws of physics (mainly gravity). She placed the edge of the tray of drinks on the table, but proceeded to take drinks from the front going back, toward her, and as predicted the tray flipped and the drinks were all over her (mind you she didn't learn a lesson because she almost lost another tray of drinks soon after at another table). Then she left the table and floor covered in drinks so she could clean herself up - Nevermind the customers. We didn't have any napkins to at least help ourselves. So we sat until another waiter came over with napkins to clean up. The waitress finally delivered the drinks after about 14 minutes, but we had no silverware so couldn't stir the drinks. Asked while she was at another table for silverware and napkins, waited 10 minutes and she came over to asked if we needed anything... long pause, yes the silverware. 10 more minutes went by and she came back to take our order - again. Apparently the order got lost (my guess she forgot to place it) so we reordered, she took the wrong order down. 20 minutes later the food came, all cold (guessing she actually did place the original order but forgot so the food sat there until someone else brought it out). She disappeared so we had to ask another server if we could get hot food. She had the manager come over who took the food and reordered. Food finally came hot with an added order of pancakes. At the end the waitress came back with our half priced bill. All in all it was a 2 and a half hour breakfast that even though we weren't in a hurry should have taken less than a hour. I'd suggest mgt retrain this poor girl or suggest a brain transplant. Cute kid and felt bad for her but gee wiz, she should try a fast food restaurant with pictures on the cash register -...

We wanted to go to brunch on a Sunday morning and use the check wait list Google service to find out how long we should plan to arrive and wait. It said there was no wait and when we arrived we were seated immediately around 10:30 a.m. The server was there with a smile and taking our order within a minute of sitting down. She was very pleasant and attentive all the way up until we were ready to leave. By then the restaurant have filled up and she was covering multiple areas. It took 10 minutes to get our check and pay. Other than that the service was great. We had thai, Maple, French toast, an omelette, and an Christopher's Benedict.... All of which was very good in portion and in flavor. The only item we receive that was not good was the cheese grits. They were very watered down and to us were inedible. It was like eating soup and we needed a spoon instead of a fork. That's not the consistency that cheese grits should have. Even the coffee and the orange juice were good as well. I would give this zero stars if I could. Our waiter Ryan was HORRIBLE!!!! From the beginning we asked for 3 waters she only brought 2, fine no big deal. After sitting for 45 minutes another couple came and sat behind us, ordered their food and received it within 20 minutes. We asked our waiter if our food was coming she said it would be out in a moment. I went to speak with manager about if there was a back up in the kitchen the manager said no and apologized because the waiter FORGOT to put in our order. How do you forget to put in someone’s order when the couple behind us ordered the SAME thing. I would be completely understanding if the restaurant was busy at the time but it was not. This was completely unacceptable. I love J Christopher’s and I love trying the different locations when I’m in the area but I will not return to...
