We’ve given this location more chances than we probably should have. In the past, we thought the food and service were subpar because we were ordering takeout. But after dining in last night, we realized it wasn’t just a fluke. The experience confirmed that this location consistently misses the mark.
To start on a positive note, the hostess was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, that’s where the good experience ended. Our server was very young, and while we initially tried to be patient and give her the benefit of the doubt—thinking she might be new—it only got worse as the night went on.
She was overly talkative—not just to us, but also to the hostess, her coworkers, and other tables. The real issue isnt her talking, but the lack of attentiveness when her table needs something. In the middle of a long, unrelated story she was telling, she casually compared children to dogs, saying something like, “Kids are like dogs—they just want attention,” right in front of our kids. It was uncomfortable.
What made things worse was her overall lack of attentiveness to me. She consistently directed all conversation to my husband, barely acknowledging me at all. I asked multiple times for refills for our kids and was either ignored or brushed off.
When ordering, my husband asked if he could have his shrimp grilled instead of fried. The waitress said, "I don't see why not," but never clarified that this change would result in a smaller portion—7 grilled shrimp instead of the standard 12 fried. When the food finally arrived (after a very long wait), another server brought most of our food, and then our server showed up with my husband's shrimp and casually explained the portion change like it was no big deal, asking if that was OK.
Rather than confirm the substitution with the kitchen and ensure the portion would be consistent, she made an assumption, only to backtrack later. To his credit, the manager did send out a full portion of grilled shrimp—but it was heavily over-seasoned and practically inedible. He also made a point of telling us that “for the future, it’s only 7 shrimp,” as if we had made some kind of unreasonable request.
As for the rest of the food? Simply put, it was bad.
The baby back ribs tasted like they were boiled and then tossed on the grill for appearance.
The mac and cheese, which we paid extra for as a “premium” side, was bland and flavorless.
By the end of the meal, I was frustrated and had completely lost my appetite. Nights like this remind me why I prefer to cook at home.
When both the service and food are this poor, it’s just not a place worth returning to. We tried to give it one last chance, and now we know for sure—it’ll...
Read moreFirst of all I wanted to talk about how awful my night was at this Millers House in Altamonte Springs. I sat down with my friends, a party of four and we ordered our drinks and food. However, the drink I ordered which was the cucumber jalapeno margarita was disgusting and it did not taste like one at all. It tasted like water and did not have any flavor, so I asked our server Miguel (miggy) to please change it because it’s not good. He was hesitant to tell me that he cant change the drink due to the policy, but he was going to ask the manager for approval. before he left, he stated that the manager was in a bad mood (like thats our problem) we are just customers, and that doesn’t matter. The manager named Eric came asking what happened without a proper greeting, and we said we would like to change the drink and the manager said that cant be comp due to their policy so we have to pay for this drink that I didnt drink and like. we said take it away because we dont want it or like it. the manager took it away with an attitude. The server came back and we asked for to go boxes because we were not comfortable anymore eating at this place after how we were treated and told to pay for something we didn't consume. my friend was very upset about this but the server Miggy was very nice and apologetic about the situation. After that, the manager Eric (white old guy with glasses) came back to tell us whats the issue when he knew about this by mocking my friend for letting him know that we shouldn’t pay for this drink and he still didn’t care. He was incompetent, rude and with a nasty attitude asking my friend if they comp drinks at her job or she can remake a drink without charging the customer for the other drink, and that’s when she said absolutely that is allowed, so he was acting like this is not accepted at all and unwilling to make a new drink or take it off from the bill the previous drink. when people should be allowed to ask for a replacement. then my friend said to take her food away and drink because she won’t eat anything at all, and the manager with an attitude took it away. My friend said thank you Eric and he just stormed away after that with no respect whatsoever. Right after, we asked another manager for corporates number and he gave us a fake number on top of that with the picture as proof in a blue sticky note. This was horrible customer service, and unacceptable. I will never come back here. Please get rid of that unintelligent, lackluster and rude manager Eric (older white man with glasses) who is creating a toxic environment for the employees and customers. This person shouldn’t be a manager or work...

However, I only received 2 out of 3 meals and did not receive the extra ranch as requested. I immediately called the Uber driver to make sure no bags were left and the driver stated only one bag was given. So I immediately called Miller's in Altamonte Springs and spoke with Naomi who transferred me to Zach the manager. When Zach got on the phone, he was immediately defensive and VERY rude. He was very quick to say it was not his fault and there was nothing he could do, advised me to call Uber eats and take it up with them and dismissed anything else I had to say. I tried calling Uber eats but on a Sunday night at almost midnight who was I kidding. So I called Zach back and he was still adamant that he did not screw up nor would he take accountability for the 18.00 meal they failed to include in the bag. He made basically said I was lying about not receiving it because there was no meal sitting on the warmer, etc. Zach acted like he was doing me a favor when I told him i was going to drive to the restaurant and pick up the meal. When I arrived there, I tried to explain to him once again and he abruptly interrupted me and said "I am not going to argue with you, heres your food." As I was leaving, an employee who will remain nameless, stated "I am not surprised, he is always like that." I normally do not write reviews but this was so appalling I couldn't remain quiet. I am a healthcare provider so I provide a service to customers as well. Zach never even apologized for the error and that is the first thing in business 101. He never accepted any kind of accountability that someone in the restaurant may have made a mistake. He just wanted to take my money and walk away. Zach never offered any sort of resolution and made it out that he was doing me a big favor by having me leave work, drive there, and pick up my meal. I feel sorry for the other employees that have to work with him. Zach needs to find a different profession if he doesn't want to handle conflicts in a better nature. I hope the owner of Miller's sees this and knows that is who is representing...
