I called in an order so it would be ready when I arrived. I said I'd be there in 30 minutes. When I got there, about 35 minutes later, I asked the one server about my order. I told her I was eating there and wanted it plated. She readily asked what I was drinking. Unfortunately the attentive server was no longer working my order. The girl working the bar apparently took over the order. She asked if the order was to go. I told her it was for there. She stood there for a minute looking confused. I asked if that was a problem. She answered "no" and it would be a few minutes. That wasn't a problem and I waited. The meatloaf plate came up. The meatloaf serving, which is usually very generous, was quite a bit smaller than usual. I told the woman who was working the kitchen, who happens to be one of the owners, about it. She immediately addressed the matter and had some more sent to my table. 5 stars on that! I asked the server, who happened to be same girl who took over my check, if I could get a little more sauce to go over the meatloaf as it was brought out dry. She responded she'd bring it in a minute because she can't be going into the bar and out to the patio all the time for this type of stuff. Now it's time to pay. I go inside and actually bring in my plate. I go to the area to pay which is where take outs are cared for. I'm stared at and ignored for quite a while. The same girl asks if I need anything. I told her I haven't paid and would like to pay. More time goes by before she gathers my card and takes it outside with her. Next she come in and starts filling drink orders and talking to the customers at the bar. She also can't hear what I'm saying because a speaker is over her. Instead of coming over to me she decides to talk to me from where she can't hear my responses. At least 15 minutes has gone by before she hands back my card with the bill to be signed.
Unfortunately I left my phone in the restroom. I was told by a customer that it had been brought to the cash register close to the front door. I tell this girl, the same girl, working the bar that I had left my phone in the restroom and it was returned to the bar. She starts saying "the phone, the phone, what about it" .She acted like she didn't know what I was saying and couldn't hear me. Even though I was right in front of her. I kept saying I'm retreiving my phone that I left in the restroom and was taken to the bar. Now she kept walking back and forth as if bewildered. I see the phone and tell her it's right by the register. She still takes her time to retrieve it. The phone is in arms length of her. Now she starts. "How do I know it's your phone?", which can be easily established by me opening up my screen. After playing that scenario out for a bit she finally delivered my phone to me. It was ridiculous.
Often in establishments where staff, workers, whatever, who have been there for many years, start to get comfortable treating customers any way they feel like treating them at any time. It's THEIR home. They feel or are untouchable. They're there for the cash. They treat their regular, loyal tippers well and forget treating the less familiar faces with coutesy. Well those less familiar faces could have turned into regular customers as others tend to disappear. Remember words are like ripples that often turn into waves. People are attached to the food/hotel industry and other businesses who employ many people. They work closely with members of the Chamber Of Commerce and other Government Offices. Treating customers with courtesy and respect should never be standards that are thrown to the curb. I wasn't going to write a review until I saw other scattered reviews where people were being treated similarly. There were just too many of these isolated instances being posted. I'm sure there are many more that customers didn't take the time to send a review. I had to comment.

Read moreAwful experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt like an outsider because we were not regulars. The food is not priced as it is online so be sure to ignore the prices listed online. Our server (did not give a name) didn't check on us once after the food arrived. Our appetizers were brought out with our entrees and all of the food took about 30-35 minutes after ordering to come to the table, despite the restaurant not being busy. I tried numerous times to get salt as the fries were bland, but was unable to get the server's attention. She waited on the table next to us extensively while hardly paying any attention to us. Apparently additional sauce costs extra (they hardly give you any at all) and this was not communicated but was placed on the bill. Despite the issues mentioned, I would give a rating of three stars because the food was bland and not quite as advertised but I am giving a one star review because of the lack of professionalism from our waitress at the end of our visit. Upon bringing the bill back, she told us to have a good day. Without giving us a second to respond, she snapped back with "Thanks. I will too." in a very harsh tone. This left a bitter taste in our mouth only to be further soured by the fact that she followed us out of the building, waved us down, and flipped us off as she did not agree with our tip amount. This unprofessionalism is the sole reason why we will not be coming back to this...
Read moreI've lived near here for a long time and only just now went with a friend who'd gone a lot in his early 20s. I agree with his description that the food is not unique, but what they do is well done, and the value is really good for both food and drinks. It's located in a great plaza, too. You can even leave and have a Gyro a few doors down or a unique brew over at Little Wekiva Brewery, before coming to back to chill out with the lower prices.
The fried pickles are the best I've ever had. Really crispy and fresh. Not soggy, like you get some places. They may have been battered with panko flakes, and the pickles themselves were extra crispy, maybe those garlic pickles. Whatever it is, I hope they don't change anything.
It feels a little like an Irish pub in that there are tables around a large bar, and everything is wood. There are TVs for sports, and there are team flags up in the rafters. The lighting is not bright, it's what you'd expect. There is a golden Tee machine off to the side. The bathrooms are labeled "PGA" and "LPGA", which is kind of funny. There are a couple of small tables outside as well, so outdoor seating is available, although not ample.
My only complaint is that the music is a bit loud and it makes conversation a bit difficult and makes your tinnitus ring later, if you've spent more than an hour...
