I'm glad I have the chance to rate the food separately from the service. I'd order take out, but I'd check my food first (more on that) but I won't go back there.
It's a Sunday evening, not very busy. My family went in. We were seated and then the host took a phone order or so. Another group came in and were waiting to be seated. This wasn't prime time and there were plenty of people working. Waited enough that I told my wife, 60 seconds, and I'm leaving. I don't mean to be waited on, I mean acknowledged after seating, such as "be with you in a moment." We were handed off to another waitress who asked if we were ready to order. First, I'd like to get some drinks. I ordered a sour, it was a blue green, and decent. Waters for the rest. Don't count on getting a refill without an act of congress. I didn't have the opportunity to order a second beverage (from a tap place, you would expect that 1: the staff would know their drink menu, and 2: the staff would want you to try them). My wife and son's drank their water and waited...I've seen some of the other reviews, the owner's check the camera. Watch the footage where I kept looking at the pitcher of water on the bar, I was pretty close to refilling the water's at the table.
Asks if we are ready to order, place our order. An appetizer and then meals. The appetizer comes out with one of the mains...and then the rest of the mains. I'm guessing it's because they dumped the chicken and cheeseballs in at the same time, but you would think the app would come first, then the mains. It's rude to bring one person's supper while the rest sit there. This is a service training issue.
I ordered a hot Italian with the mayo on the side. I was delivered a hot Italian with an inch wide slathering of mayo about 1/2 an inch thick over the sub. Maybe I wanted to see if your mayo sucked (it doesnt) or maybe I only wanted a little bit (I did) or maybe some people have sensory issues with their food, maybe I didn't want the mayo mixed with the lettuce, maybe I wanted to put it on my roll by myself.
I mentioned this to the waitress. Her response was "I can show you the ticket, I told them no mayo." I don't want to see the ticket, show the ticket to the person who made the order or who delivered it. Who is checking the tickets? Is it a training issue? You see the theme here.
Anyway, wait....wait....wait... meanwhile everyone at the table didn't have a drink since they were all gone. Oh, you ready for the check, here ya go. $75 later before the tip. Even though the service sucked, I still tossed $10 on.
Here's the thing, they weren't busy. I saw plenty of employees there.
I would order take out, but I'd check my food for accuracy before leaving. I will not go in there again, even if someone else is buying.
Food - even with 8000 calories of mayo I didn't want, was still good. Service - sucked.
Edit to add: Sat near the "DINING ROOM DOOR" alarm. Every time someone goes through...lovely. Also to add, my oldest son's chicken sandwich was good. My wife's turkey dinner was good.
I just can't figure out how in a tip based industry, people aren't more focused on...
Read moreThis was my first time going here. I went with book club so 7 people total. I was the last to arrive and they got my drink order pretty quick. Then it was a long while before they got our food ordered. I get we are talking a discussing, but so does everyone else at a restaurant. The poor waitress had no idea how to work the system to order our food. My mom was trying to get the orange creamcicle cheesecake early on to make it easier for the waitress (due to us all being separated checks) and the waitress had no idea how to order it on the machine. Then as we go down the line she gets to the third person and can't find what she wants again..she had to ask for help and we waited another 5 minutes to order our food. Meanwhile the first person to order is getting there appetizer. When she finally gets it figured out she gets the orders and then almost for gets to get mine. I would have gotten more, but I just felt bad so I just ordered one thing. There was also a mix up with sides. Some people wanted French fries and didn't get them, and they fixed it, but they came out after they were already done eating there meals. Then after we are done eating people are asking for boxes and what not and it takes about 10-20 minutes for her to come back to us and we had to tell her again that we needed boxes. The waitress never asked if we wanted any desserts and I knew a couple of people were debating on getting some. As we are paying gratuity was already included on the receipt and the waitress told my mom "it took it off and you can customize your tip." They did not when I paid it is exactly what the receipt said which included gratuity. I get she could have been having an off day or understaff, but it was...
Read moreThis place has great food. I ordered a steak and cheese and it was really delicious. My wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs. She said the spaghetti was really good. She thought the meatballs were just ok, no real complaints about it. Not pictured was the chili we ordered. We were not a fan. It's watery and really sweet. I am not going to take off points because it's just not how we prefer our chili. If you like a sweeter chili, I am sure you will love theirs. The best part of this whole experience was their wings. We got the too hot wings and they were amazing. Perfectly cooked and delicious. I wish we got more. We only got a dozen, but I know we will be back for more. They were remodeling at this time, but I hope the next time we visit they are done and we can truly...
