Food is extremely authentic and does remind me of my parents/grandparents’ cooking. The pho is noticeably different and good, for me. I’ve been around pho and it does start to taste the same. The pho here is more aromatic, flavorful, and isn’t just drowned in saltiness. Overheard a customer say her pho was bland. I’ve been around enough pho shops to guess it is because she is used to other shops where they make up for flavor by just making it salty. The meatballs here are made in house and is extremely juicy and tender. Other shops use the typical precooked frozen ones (that I’ve bought at stores myself) that have the same taste and texture as every other restaurant.
The Vietnamese iced coffee is as real and authentic as it gets. Reminds me of my childhood instantly of when my dad would make it. An extremely pleasant trip down memory lane.
Everything I’ve had here was great and would recommend the coffee, pho (fatty brisket and meatballs my favorite) and rock and roll beef for anyone overwhelmed with the menu.
I’ve been to plenty of disappointing pho restaurants where the “fusion” ruins the authentic taste i am looking for or the place got too lazy or something and started taking shortcuts, ruining their flavors. Let’s Pho has not...
Read moreThis place is hit or miss on service. Today was a big miss. Walked in on 2 servers sitting down playing on their phones. Ok no problem. They were empty. We were the only table there at the time. Ordered egg rolls as appetizer and pho as an entree. Was half way done with pho when we told the server not to worry about the egg rolls. But only after another table walked in and ordered egg rolls. She immediately responded with. Are you sure? They are almost done. Im thinking This is egg rolls? Should have taken maybe 5 minutes to cook. After we told her dont worry about the eggs rolls she proceeded to sit down to play on her iPad at an adjacent table. Meanwhile there were 2 tables there that weren't bussed from when we came in. I waited for a refill that never came. Had to grab my own napkins. She never checked up on us. I had to get up and grab my own togo box from the side wall. All this while she sat at the table right next to us. Needless to say the service was very lacking. Perhaps this is not the job her her. Gave her a 15% tip because I would have felt guilty had I stiffed her knowing I used to work in the service industry. Food was ok....
Read moreOrdered about half the menu this afternoon. Completely blown away by the authenticity and passion put into the food. I’m a pho fanatic. Ive eaten at about every pho restaurant and food truck from Galveston to the Woodlands and this place might have the best pho I’ve ever eaten. Everything was mouthwatering, complex and perfectly balanced. We all shared each other’s food and could not determine who had the better dish. Even the Vietnamese coffee was prepared with love and was light years ahead of anything else I’ve had. The flavor of that broth could only possibly achieved with a 48 hour + boil and there’s is no opportunity to hide any undesirable quality in this perfectly prepared broth. It was pure. I spoke briefly to who I believe was the owner or head chef and the passion this man has for the food is glaringly obvious. This is very authentic Vietnamese and more in line with the flavors you’d experience in Saigon than in the states but in no way is it a stretch for the average American consumer. I will be returning as often as I can. Please try this place if you haven’t and I promise it will...
