Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Amarillo

I was at the town square Braums. I drove up to the window to order. I ordered a bagel with 2 extra cream cheese. The employee said “ok pull around”…I replied “Oh, I wasn’t done ordering?…She said “Oh, what else? And I ordered a yogurt parfait. Then I asked if they served any kind of ice coffee”…She replied “no”. She said nothing about regular coffee being the only thing on the menu, so I just ordered a small coffee with 2 creams to sugars “..She said “is that it?, pull around to the first window.

When I pulled up, she handed me the bagel and silverware. To lighten the mood I said “want a little dog?” (My dog was being a jerk) She rolled her eyes and said “uh NO” and walked off. Then she’d handed me a small coffee and shut the window. I opened the coffee because I had asked for 2 creams and 2 sugars and it was black. Looked in my sack and nothing either. Then another girl handed me the parfait, not saying a word. I went to take a drink of my coffee and it was ice cold. I told her it was cold. She just looked at me. No response. I just said “just keep the coffee”…and she shut the door. When I was driving to work I noticed a burnt smell from the bag. I opened up the bagel and the first half was chewy and had not been toasted (I started eating it) but the second piece was burned.

I understand that some things happen. Everyone has a bad morning. But with my order completely screwed up there should have at least been an apology and can we get you anything else.

This is the 6th I have had a bad experience at this Braums. I love Braums I eat there in other part of town and different cities.

Absolutely terrible food and customer...

Stopped at store number 299, 8801 Town Sqare Blvd, Amarillo Tx on 2/7/25. There was 1 woman waiting for her order when I came in so I got in line behind her. The employee saw me standing there waiting. Before the woman in front of me had checked out a man with a little girl came in an got in line at the end of the ropedarea in front of the ice cream. After the woman in front of me checked out the employee then ignored me and went to the man and girl to take their order. I said excuse me I’ve been standing here for 10 minutes waiting. The employee very rudely says well we usually start down here. I said well I stood behind the customer that was already here when I arrived and they just came in. She grudgingly took my order which was 1 vanilla malt and 1 vanilla shake. She came back with 2 to ring up both ( the Oder was still mixing) I looked at it and it was chocolate. I said it’s chocolate I ordered vanilla. Again very grudgingly she took it back to make a new one. When finished she came and sit them down and walked off. Never apologized once. I’ll never stop at this Braum’s again. I don’t know the employee’s name but she is a heavy set woman...

This is a relatively new Braum's location; but you'd hardly know it upon entering the building. My wife and I stopped by a few weeks ago to satisfy an ice cream craving. When we were choosing our ice cream, the chaos, disorder, and overall lack of cleanliness in the kitchen area shocked us. Even at the register, the counter was grimy and the floors were sticky. We also ordered drinks, and when we were at the drink dispensers, it was more of the same. Everything in the restaurant was dirty, grimy, and just gross. The grates on the bottom of the drink dispenser, where you set your cup had some type of buildup on them and it was evident they'd not been cleaned in quite some time. A funky smell permeated the seating area, tables were grimy, as were walls, floors, and windows. It was just gross, and we were flabbergasted that a relatively new store was in such terrible condition. We decided to ditch our ice cream and...
