I've been here twice. The first time was fabulous. I had the green chili omlette with hashbrowns & toast. The food came out fast & hot. It was delicious and the service was quick & friendly. My coffee was kept full. Five stars across the board.
However my second visit was a nightmare. It was on haloween. I came around 9 am. It was completely packed & I was told there would be a wait to be seated. I told them thats fine I'm not in a hurry. Many people left & tables bussed quickly & I was promptly seated less than 5 minutes from walking in. Other people were pouring in quickly to fill the bussed tables. I thought it would be best to order immediately so I told the waitress as she poured my coffee that I was ready to order. She took my order. That's just the beginning of my terrible experience. I waited patiently thinking the food would be hot and delicious with a generous portion like my last visit but I couldn't have been any more wrong. As I waited I noticed everyone around me being served food. Some came and ordered after me. I remained patient. Many people ate paid & left. The waitress came & said my food would be out soon. I drank more coffee & waited. And waited. Watching people pay & leave. Waitress came several more times saying each time it won't be long. I waited. Drank several more cups of coffee. Waitress came again. I refused coffee. I already had like 7 cups. She said she would check on my food. I said nothing. She disappeared for a long time. I looked around the room & realized I was the only one that hadn't been served. I watched dozens of couples & groups get food within minutes of ordering. It had been an hour & a half at this point. I told the waitress I knew they were very busy but I'm really hungry go see where my food is and find out what is taking so long. After disappearing for about 15 minutes she brings my food & asks if I need anything. I say no. My food was ice cold. The plate was actually chilled. The other thing I immediately noticed was the micro portion of hashbrowns. About an ounce. Maybe 2 tablespoons. Almost comical. The omlette was made well but cold. The toast was wheat bread which I didn't order & don't like. Previous visit was white toast. I believe that after I ordered on the second visit the waitress never turned in my order. Human mistake. When I paid the server that took my money asked how everything was. I told her the food was ok once I FINALLY got it. She was very dismissive and said something about being busy as if I never noticed. So 1st time was perfect but second time couldn't have been any worse. It was actually like i was in a movie or a Saturday Night Live skit... I haven't decided if I will ever...
Read moreBland and flavorless. That was the ultimate takeaway from my dining experience. I tried the chicken strips, the cheeseburger, and the green Chile steak and cheese sandwich. All dishes had one thing in common. They all lacked flavor of any sort. Not even salt or pepper. The burgers and sandwiches come with a bag of plain lays potato chips or you can pay a $3 uncharge to substitute them for fries, sweet potato fries, or fried okra (not worth it). They do not offer a kids menu or smaller portion menu. The service was decent. The table wasn't fully wiped clean. I will not revisit this restaurant and I do not recommend...
