Café Moonwater — Restaurant in Amarillo

I had a reservation of 15 people for my birthday which I made a week in advance. Even though they knew we were coming, they did not adequately prepare for a group of this size. We got our food 2 hours after we arrived. Service was extremely slow. No apology was offered. And as a group of 15, we had to pay a gratuity of 20% even though the service was not good. My friends and I love coming here and bringing new people here. The food is absolutely amazing. They are constantly growing and adding new items that are always exciting to try and never let us down. Amanda is the sweetest person and the best server she always makes sure we are taken care of and is so fun to talk to. She is always on top of things even when they are super busy. Don’t be in a rush - this place is so lovely and worth the wait! I took my relatively picky 13-year-old daughter for lunch here because I had business nearby. She was happy with the elevated grilled cheese, and delighted with whatever beautiful coffee drink she ordered. It actually got prettier as she drank it!
