Second time here, but would not come back after tonight's experience. My boyfriend and I came in at 8:35pm this evening. Cracker Barrel closes at 10:00pm. Wasn't busy when we arrived. Male host provided the worst, or maybe the strangest greeting we ever experienced...so bad that my boyfriend thought he must be joking at first. I was quickly turned off as he continued to say "ahhh come on guys, Really? You can't be doing this to me before I go home." My boyfriend responded, "you guys close at 10, yeah?" The host responded, "yeah, we do." I cannot remember the continued words coming out of his mouth about him having to seat us, which ultimately made us both feel awkward and uneasy. Mind you he is the host and his main priority is to seat us. On our way to him seating us at our table, he scolded the children next to our table telling them with a raised voice, "You need to sit down." We were left feeling pretty uncomfortable at this point. Waitress came and has a better attitude but provided pretty bad service. We ordered water which she realized she forgot about 10 minutes later when she came back to take our dinner order. Our waters eventually came. Once dinner arrived she asked if we needed anything else, which I asked for A1 for my steak. It never came and she never came back to check on us. Me being me, I didn't want to be a bother so never received the A1 although I was hopeful 😅. We simply felt ignored the entire time, and I was pretty uncomfortable the entire time. I've been to other cracker barrel's before and never had such an experience as I did tonight. I think the management needs to weed out these bad apples as I know there are and we're other waiters providing better service. Still love...
Read moreThe hostess was excellent it wasn't very busy so got a seat right away. The hostess noticed my mother who walks with a cane and said " I'll put y'all at a table that's close so she (referring to my mother) does not have that far to walk. That was very much appreciated. Believe it or not a lot of hostesses see that but don't take any consideration to that, but the hostess did. That was very nice and we thanked her for that. The food was ok, nothing to brag about. The waitress obviously hates her job. She was very rude. We ordered breakfast it was 10:00am not many people were in there. We ordered two breakfast plates with over easy eggs, mine came out fine but the other plate looked like someone had sat on the eggs before sending them out of the kitchen, unacceptable when you order eggs. When we asked about it she grabbed the plate off the table and marched away. I've always gone to Cracker Barrel in any town I've ever visited because their signature has always been their personalized syrup bottles. Well I love them because I've been on a medication for liver failure it's called lactose, (look it up so you can understand where in coming from) it's a terrible tasting medicine that helps get rid of toxins on the brain for to liver not filtering out anyway I love those bottles because they are the exact amount that my medicine is. To a T. Perfect. The medicine even looks like syrup. Anyway back to our visit, the waitress heard us talking about it and on purpose brought out our syrup in to go cups. I asked her about the bottles that I loved and she said yes I'll get you one, she left and never came back. Major disappointment. I really think she...

Let's start with the hostess; her name is Xyla (or something like that). She was rude, showed no personality, and obviously does not love her job. She spent so much time on her mobile phone that she didn’t even notice the gentleman waiting to be seated. Xyla should find another Job.
We arrived at 9:30 AM on June 9th. The restaurant was not busy—there were maybe six tables occupied. We are regulars at the Las Vegas branch, so we know how things typically work. To our surprise, there were no staff members on the floor. We waited a good 15 minutes to see if someone would come to take our drink order, but no one did! They were all inside the kitchen chatting and eating.
Finally, after a long wait, a lady named Robin came to ask for our orders. Unfortunately, they messed up our order; the bread I ordered (sourdough) arrived five minutes later, but they brought biscuits instead. The grits also took another five minutes to arrive.
To make matters worse, they never refilled our coffee and tea, which is a standard practice at CB. They only refilled it once when we specifically asked for it. Normally, the server would come to the table to check on us, but since the staff was too busy in the kitchen, that didn’t happen.
Last week, when we were at CB in Arizona, our server was an older lady as well, but she provided us with excellent service—if not the best we've ever had. Robin, on the other hand, is older and really needs to consider...
