Giovanni's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Amarillo

1st time ordering from a pizza spot after moving to Amarillo; and very disappointed. We asked for the items to be cooked a little bit longer so that it would be crispy but when we got the pizza it was flimsy and burnt on topand the bottom was tan. Called to get the issue resolved and the guy on the phone was not helpful or sympathetic what so ever. His response what basically oh well. Very disappointing. Just so everyone knows I am not out to get a small business; nor where my intentions to get a free meal. We just want food that was done correctly. And I never once said it tasted bad at the time of the call. The food had not even touched a mouth. When it comes to spending what little bit we have it is only right that it be for something good, and if I felt a specific way about the entier experiance that's on the place that made me feel that way( also know as customer experienceand customer service). We come from pizza capital of the United States and we also, personally, know how pizza ovens work so it not that I am ignorant to the cooking process. We know there is a difference between burnt pizza and crispy pizza and this was not crispy. Also, I am sorry if you think that because I talk well and am cool under pressure and I do not curse at people that I was trying to get a free meal, I was simply being polite in a situation that most people would have blown up at others. Not everyone is out to get something. As far as the small business, I hope you understand that this is a review and reviews are best meant for learning from. I hope you had a wonderful night and was busy enough to come out on top. Thank you for your time...

Worst pizza and customer service ever! We ordered a margarita pizza for delivery . What we got was a cold dried tomato sauce on crust with literally like a handful of thin splotches of cheese and 3 little leaves of basil in the whole large pizza ! This cost us with cinnamon rolls , $37 $45 with tip. We called and the manager told me it couldn’t be cold so I guess I’m lying and I told him this is not a margarita pizza and he said that’s how we make ours . Who in their right mind would pay that price for for what we got . We got nothing for replacement . The manager did nothing so they obviously don’t want return business . Do not go here is my recommendation ! One star is too much ! Oh and the so called insulation bag he brought the pizza in had nothing left to it to keep a pizza hot. It looks like it’s been used for over 20 years. I wish I would have looked at the pizza before the delivery guy left because I would not have accepted it. I saw a lot of reviews were good so were very disappointed. Maybe another pizza is good but we’ll never know but who wants cold dried pizza...

First of all , We ordered for pick up and they said 30min. That’s fine . The Order was a pizza roll and a cheese calzone . We arrived in 20min , waited about 10.inside . My husband came back to the truck with our food and we ate there . The pizza roll was barely warm and the calzone was just warm . We were early so the food should have been blazing & that is what I wanted and expected !! The calzone was suppose to have ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese . It has literally a thin smear of Ricotta .i personally couldn’t see it or taste it . My husband told me it was there … lol . He ask for napkins … totally normal for a restaurant to have … they did NOT ! The food WAS good but not worth eating cold . Had my husband just brought it home … it would have been stone COLD . I’m NOT bashing them or saying don’t eat here …like I said … it was good but I’m hoping this review will give them insight and future customers can let them know they want hot food and ricotta cheese in their calzone if they order...
