Goldenlight Beer & Wine Garden — Restaurant in Amarillo

We have gone several times and have always loved the environment, service and food, but tonight was the worse of service and food! Waited almost an hour and a half, asked about our food and the ticket had gotten lost so we had to wait again. I did go tell them if they hadn't started we would just wait but she said it was almost done being cooked. We finally got the food, and the manager came to "make it right" after the waitress said she could give me a pie and I was like that isn't going to help me out... the manager only took off $6 to cover the taxes. I told her I couldn't even eat it no more, it was so soggy and the patty melt was just falling apart you couldn't even pick it up. She asked if she could have them re make it to make it right, but I was like I'm not waiting no more. When I told her I can't even eat it no more,she asked what's wrong with it and I lifted my bread, I had already lost my appetite, with it already being 9 pm! She said "I'm sorry things like this happens at times". My husband didn't say anything at the time after knowing nothing was going to be done, but his mushroom burger...

We visited Goldenlight to watch the Superbowl. It wasn't very crowded, there was a going-away party but aside from that, it wasn't busy. We were served right away, the service was prompt and friendly. The staff was also very accommodating, we asked to move to the bar so we could hear the half-time show better and they changed the channel on one of the other tv's for us. They offer beer, wine and liquor and also have a food truck out back. The waitress will take your order and take it back to the truck and then bring you your food. Our overall experience was really good, the only reason I'm giving them just 3 stars is because of the price of their wine. Most restaurants we've visited have a house wine for around $4 or $5, Goldenlight doesn't offer an affordable house wine and the night we were there, they ran out of their house wine and the next affordable glass was $13. So for us, that alone is going to keep us from visiting their establishment but the food and service is great so I would recommend you give them a chance and see...

Great spot but a little hard to navigate with the inside and outside seating on the hill.

The burger truck was completely overwhelmed however in their defense we placed out order at 630pm on a friday night so i will not count that against them. The food is very much worth the hour wait. We had the mushroom and swiss, the avocado bacon burger, and BLT. They are very generous with the portions and fries.

The drink prices are reasonable we had Austin Still whiskey, beer, and soft drinks and the bartenders are quick and well versed in tasting selections.

The parking and seating could be better because the place is very popular. Inside seating is next to impossible for groups over 2 and the picnic area is equally crowded. But again, 630pm on a friday.
