That Weird Place — Restaurant in Amarillo

Local food truck with a small but ever changing menu. One of the only fully vegan stops in Amarillo.

Got the chili fries, brussel sprouts, and lavender lemonade. All were spectacular! The flavors in the chili fries were crafted perfectly. I never thought mustard would go with chili, but it fit so well! The brussel sprouts were fantastically tender and were lightly, but perfectly, sauced with a sweet chili sauce. This allowed the sauce to deliciously compliment the natural brussel sprout flavor. The lemonade was sweet, tart, and refreshing!

The staff was super accommodating and passionate. They know what they are doing when it comes to fusing flavors in their food. While waiting for the food they even topped up my lemonade!

I would describe this place as a super fun duo that love to make good food and have some good laughs while they do it. Check out their Instagram. Their dancing and love they put into their work comes through in the great taste. If you dug into it and noticed “vegan” and didn’t run away, I’ll tell you I’m very much not vegan and I’ve loved their stuff. If something they are making sounds like something you’d like if it wasn’t vegan chances are you’ll like their version! It’s comfort food so they do fried things, bbq, all sorts of stuff. as a muslim finding HALAL takeout options here in amarillo is so difficult. so when we spotted this food truck parked across the gym we go to, i was excited. i ordered 6 nuggets with fries and a ranch and a sauce of choice FOR ONLY $8!!!! what a steal. on top of that they were giving hot dogs for free today and i got one of those as well. the service was just amazing. they were so friendly and welcoming, even bought my food out to my car for me. so sweet. and the food was just jaw dropping. i couldn’t even tell that the hot dog was vegan it was so similar in taste and look. the nuggets were on the smaller side but had the same texture as actual chicken nuggets. amazing. also, their BBQ sauce is to die for. it’s so yum. would definitely recommend and i’ll be...
