Let me start off that my wife and I just wanted 2 burritos. And 4 pollo tacos. The lady at the counter said it’s $6 plus tax for the tacos and I said cool. Then on the screen that shows you the price the tacos said $6.99 and I said wait I thought it was $6? And she said yes plus tax. I know about the tax rates and in Amarillo it’s 8.5% so it should’ve come out to $6.51. And I scrolled to the bottom and there was an itemized tax which was correct. But it said $6.99 plus tax so is she double taxing me? I was confused. I asked her and she basically told me to take it or leave it because that’s the price. I was genuinely confused why she didn’t just correct the price. So I just got my burritos, a gansito and 2 sangrias. Then I got these sorry giant tacos. The burritos are just meat, cilantro and onions. Where’s the rice and beans? This was a huge disappointment. A classic burrito comes with that but as always, Amarillo has nasty chihuahuan burritos where it’s just meat. I already paid and was hungry so I hesitatingly took it. And since I knew it was gonna be bland with 0 rice and beans, I asked for salsa and I asked for 2 of each (red and green) and again the lady was giving me a hard time. She was being stingy with the sauce where as most Mexican places usually give you as much as you need. She only wanted to give me 1 of each. Anyways here’s the burrito on the picture with no rice and beans.

I love this place and their food. It's always top notch food. I like the staff, but they could be a bit more accommodating towards their customers. While they are nice about the "wait times", I feel like they tend to "scare" customers off with their attitude about it. Maybe they don't need the extra income. They regularly tell customers of the 20-30 wait times. That's not a problem. It's that they act as if they don't need that business. Maybe they don't. Either way, they're usually pretty nice about it and tell the customer up front about the wait time. I'd prefer that over a lie. However, they couldn't hurt themselves with a bit more of bedside manner. I appreciate honesty. I also don't appreciate the apparent attitude of "we don't really need the business." Maybe we can find a happy medium? Food 9/10. Customer service 7/10. Wait 7/10. Overall 8/10. I would give this a "must try" if you want authentic Mexican food experience if in Amarillo. The Chile Rellano burrito is astounding. Maybe call...
