I love this place!! I remember as a kid my parents would always go once a week to get us some treats, now I go and get for my kids and they love it just as much as I did!! Have probably over 30 different types of candy bread, some with sigar,powdered sugar, some crispy, some very flaky, some with thick bread and can't forget the cookies,, all at very inexpensive prices. You can buy candy, cakes, tres leches, and they even have a lil restaurant inside that you can order lunch ,dinner, not sure about breakfast! Read moreThis is such a nasty food inviroment! We were driving through Amarillo a few days ago and decided to get sweet bread for the road. It was 9:30 so you'd think they'd have fresh sweets. There was a rack with open baked goods exposed and there were baged day old goods under it. I thought maybe they were getting ready to set it on the closed counter with the rest. It never happened. Read moreThe people are very nice, unfortunately that's about the extent of it. The bread is pricey for what it is and it feels like day old bread, very stale and crumbly/dry. I guess it's a roll of the dice if you want fresh Mexican sweet bread, I wouldn't mind paying the high price if it was fresh and soft, but most of the bread seems stale and a day or 2 old.
