Usually a slam dunk 5star for me, not today!!! My wife and I treated ourselves to some late morning breakfast at our local i-hop. When we walked in, we saw it was fairly slow and we got seated right away. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I order the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast with an extra egg and toast for me, both came with the little pancakes which we love. We ordered and after waiting over 35 minutes, we asked our server if they had to negotiate with Alabama to get the embryos over medium??? It took exactly 44 minutes to get our breakfast, unusually slow for this I-hop. My wife started to enjoy her breakfast and as I started on mine, my pancakes and toast were cold, I only received two eggs and underneath my CFS was a small pile of burnt hash browns, totally unedib!!! Very disappointing as I-hops are one of my favorites to visit. We called the server over about my meal concerns and she had no clue what to do, I asked her if she could get me new pancakes, new toast, side of hash browns and an extra egg. She said no problem, well, after watching my wife eat almost her entire breakfast, I looked at our server again wondering where my breakfast is?? She said she would have the manager come talk with us, I thought, for what?!?! After about another 10 minutes waiting for the manager, he finally showed up and agreed that everything needed to be reordered and promised he would take care of it. Mind you, they were not busy at this time and we are now going on over an hour. People that came in and ordered after us have long gone, my wife has already finished her meal and I’m still waiting. My meal finally came, everything looked great as it always does or at least it used too, the manager said not to worry he would compensate us for the trouble and I told him thanks and enjoyed my breakfast. We received our bill and there was no compensation on it at all, instead of making as issue out of it, we paid and left. This crew including the manager blew it today!!! BLEW IT!!! My first less than 5star for I-Hop and for today, earned and well deserved. We have choices in Amarillo and will go to the other I-Hop next time!!! Read moreIdk where to start. Food took 27 minutes, I ordered beef tips medium cooked and eggs with hash browns. Out of the 11 pieces of meat, 3 we're not only beyond rare but actually still cold. 2 tablespoons of hash browns and supposedly 2 eggs which was actually another two tablespoons (not exaggerating). Wasn't given silverware or syrup for my super tiny, dry and unappealing pancakes. I sat for several minutes staring at my plate with nothing to eat it with as the waitress walked around doing other things...this was after I had to ask for the silverware. Upon leaving, I was standing literally 2 feet away from the staff and the manager while they all 4 stared at and laughed at the couple just for requesting their waffles a little darker. Prior to hearing this extremely unprofessional gossip I had heard the manager tell this couple that he couldn't make them darker because they went thru a machine with a timer. The whole thing was horrible. I severely suggest to go to another location if you're wanting IHOP. This is the third time I had a horrible experience here and I finally decided to say something. The manager is mainly to blame, very very unprofessional talking about guests in front of other guests just because they didn't like raw waffles. As I sat up to leave, I gave the woman who ordered darker waffles a look of amazement and both her and her husband shot me the most disappointed looks I've seen in a while. I could tell they were very very unhappy with the service! I hope this helps get something done about this location. Corporate should get involved. Read moreAll booths except 2 tables in very back. Took Mother in wheelchair there for brunch. She got the omelet with avocado on top and I got sunny side up eggs. With hashbrowns, chicken fried steak. Took almost a whole hour and saw our waitress wrapping silverware. Food was on counter for 7 or more minutes waiting to be served when I went to look. Nobody but 3 booths were occupied this day at 3 pm or so. Food came out when I walked up and told a different waitress I want to speak to manager. Our food was brought by different waitress. Avocado was dark and black on top of omelet. Rotten avocado. Not fresh green avocado. My sunny side up eggs were really really brown crispy on bottom, I was shocked. They offered to redo it all. My order plate was knocked down to half off. The meal was 21 bucks with coffee we had. Too much for waiting an hour and waiting longer to have it all redone. My mother got sick from omelet afterward. Running to toilet sick. Pepto bismol helped a bit. The omelets was probably not fresh or remade. It was a bad experience to say the least. We were going to leave after waiting an hour. We may not go back again. Manager said problems with cook. I will have to think about coming back here again until they get a good cook. This has to change to better leadership and fresher food and Common sense not to serve the customer burnt on bottom eggs and rotten sliced avocado on top of food.
