Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory — Restaurant in Amarillo

I have ordered breakfast 10 times in 9 months and have only received one correct order. I normally would have given up by now but it’s sooo close. I’m done. Usually they put the wrong items on each taco even though the receipt seems to be correct. For example, last time (which was the straw that broke the camels back) I asked for a bean and cheese taco and a bacon, sausage egg and cheese. They said they were out of bacon ( extremely common reply). I was okay with that, again, and I just asked for a a sausage egg and cheese taco with the other taco as well. I get the order and go home and find bacon on my daughters bean and cheese taco and just egg on my and look at the receipt and the receipt is what I originally ordered with the extra charge for the items. Also they are always out of beef and other items and doesn’t seem to make changes to accommodate the demand. They almost always forget the cheese and give the wrong drink. I frequent this location weekly and have always had good quality food and service. Today, I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese taco through the drive through. When I opened my taco, I found cheese piled on one side and egg/meat on the other and it was halfway out of the tortilla. I managed to only eat about half of it because I did not have a fork. I decided to call the manager at the store and spoke to a lady (I'm not sure that she identified herself) about my experience. She told me that they were training and they are learning and that she would remake it if I would come back. I told her that I appreciate that, but excuses should not be made for training and serving food in that condition. She became irritated and told me that people have to learn and she was not very nice. This was a less than stellar experience that could have been resolved by a customer friendly manager. Good food made at a great price. Normally, I would give 4 out of 5 stars but here are the reasons I gave 5. Price for what you get compared to other similar places in town. The food is good and I love their tortillas (continuously made fresh on site) . Fast, accurate service. I'm talking - fast. In most cases (even during lunch hr) by the time my family pays out, gets our drinks and finds a place to sit down, our order is already up. You read that all right and it is self-serve after the register which plays into my next point. It's a great place to take your family especially if you have kids. Plenty of open seating and high chairs. There is a small bar for all of your fresh condiments and sides so no server to wait on or tip afterward. In my opinion, a good business model for their niche. You can purchase bottled beer and if you don't prefere to dine in, they have a drive through. Don't forget about taco tuesday. Very popular here...
