Scratch Made Bakery — Restaurant in Amarillo

We come down to Texas once a week for work and always try to make a special trip to Amarillo for breakfast and tasty treats at Scratch Made Bakery. I always love walking through the front doors and being greeted with a smile and knowledgeable, kind, staff. It always makes me feel at ease during stressful business trips. Their selection of cookies and treats change weekly and I feel like a child on Christmas Day looking at what cool designs they have on their cookies on display! While the gourmet sweets and treats are always exciting, the array of breakfast foods are phenomenal (I recommend the green chilie hash brown casserole. And that’s coming from a Coloradan.) There’s no wonder as to how they won CupCake Wars, and there’s no other place I would rather get my sweet tooth fill from. I placed an order for next week and will update my review with photos. They also accommodated for allergies with our last order and it made all the difference! Please remember that small business are made or broke from reviews! For my wife's 35th birthday I wanted to get her a really beautiful cake so I took a chance on this bakery since they were rated pretty highly... let me tell you the experience couldn't have been better! Their customer service was amazing. My request was given on very short notice (apologies again to the whole team) and after sending them a picture of a cake I found online I wasn't expecting it to look as good as it did. The cake looked exactly like the picture I sent, but better! Hard to explain, but it was perfect. Crazy thing is the whole time I was emailing them and sending pictures they were on vacation in another country making sure they took care of me. Due to where I'm stationed there's not many options in the local area so I drove 2 hours one way just to pick up the cake. On top of giving me a military discount they even walked the cake out to my car. They are an amazing team and I definitely made the right choice picking them. My friend and I hosted a small special event and we ordered cupcakes from Scratch. We sent a few photo ideas, said it was a "fresh garden" theme, and told them we trusted them to make something beautiful. WOW!! We were blown away when we picked up our order! The details and thought that went into each cupcake was show-stopping(they even decorated with locally grown, beautiful flowers!) We loved the addition of a little bit of gold to the flowers and blueberries. Not to mention how tasty they were!! They use REAL ingredients and we loved that this lemon blueberry cupcake was sweet but not overly sweet (this really sets them apart from other places in town). Everything they do is beautiful and custom. They went over and beyond with our order, had great pricing for a custom order and great communication as well....
