Pizza Planet — Restaurant in Amarillo

My family has been to going to pizza planet for a number of years. Throughout that time, they have always commented to me that the food was really very good. The thing that stands out the most to me was they always loved the salad from pizza planet. Now I know that they have various types of pizza depending on the crust, cheese, sauce, and of course the toppings, but I couldn't understand what made the difference in the salads. My wife, and her friends raved about the salad. I thought, lettuce, cheese, meat, and tomatoes. What's the big deal about that since pretty much any fast food place and convenience store has salads. Well, I finally picked up two family salads for a potluck dinner. I was given choices of homemade ranch, homemade blue cheese, honey mustard, thousand island, and Italian. I chose the homemade ranch and the homemade blue cheese to go with the two salads. Well, the party starts and most everyone was like "you got salad from Pizza Planet, I love their salads". Finally I had my chance to have some of this infamous salad, and I have to say is this has to be the best salad I have eaten. I don't really know what sets it apart from any other salad. It could be that everything was fresh, the cheese and meat were great, and I should have gotten more of that homemade dressing. If you go to pizza planet, be sure to try the salad, and please let me know if you think it is as good as I did, and everyone else...

Horrible experience. I will never buy food here or any pizza planet. The most unpleasant employee. Today is 9/28/18 I was there around 345 pm. The girl that was there by herself was very rude. I had requested cups as I am staying in a hotel. I made my purchase online. When I got to the store I was told they did not have cups. Ok well why sell two liter sodas and not have paper cups. I am staying in a hotel so I don’t have dishes. The girl had the audacity to ask if I was going home I said yes. She said don’t you have cups at home. No I’m staying in a hotel. She actually told me to go to the store and buy some or ask the hotel. How about NO. I bought the two liter for take out from you. I travel for a living and eat pizza weekly around the country. Never have I been told they don’t have cups but even that is ok. It was the way I was treated. After all was said and done she threw my pizza on the counter and walked away and wouldn’t even look at me. On top of that the pizza was requested well done and it is light and doughy. Subpar at best. Thank you but no Thank you. I will go elsewhere. Any where...

Their wings are the best!

I want to update my previous post. Picked up a dozen wings today. What has happened to your wings???? The reason I like Pizza Planet wings is because they are not breaded, are huge and taste great! These today were, breaded, tiny, and taste awful! Wings are expensive (I paid $20 for a dozen) but I don't typically mind because they used to be so big and so tasty. Not anymore!! Very disappointed Pizza Planet. Big waste of my money. 🤨

Update to my last update 🙂. Received a phone call from Pizza Planet, she apologized for the quality of wings that I received with my last order and was kind enough to explain what had occurred. Thank you Pizza Planet, that is GREAT customer service!!! They even offered a free order of wings. Not many businesses go out of their way to make things right... much...
