Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Amarillo

Well the Hut is back on. A few years ago Pizza Hut was dreadful to us and we did not enjoy it like we did in the early 2000 to 2006.

Something has changed recently and this location appears to have gotten things together. Service has been great. Pizza's taste better.

Only thing I wished is they would cook Well Done per the comments via online order. Ordered with that comment a few times and yet it was not well done. I know with a lot of items - it wont get well done but when the store but the mall can get it right - I have to wonder if this location is double checking the comments section.

While numerous toppings will not yield a firm crust - a well done pizza (as the location by the mall did) it was a noticeable difference of how the pizza holds up.

I use to work at the Hut when they were by Samuels Diamond so I know numerous toppings cooked well done can provide a not so soggy crust.

But overall this Hut gets an A-minus in my book.

Side Note - A couple of years ago - I gave them an F. Ordered a pizza with various toppings and "supposedly" had mushrooms. called and they said mushrooms were there on pizza. Showed them pizza and they looked hard and they said oh - well we ran out early in the day. I was not too happy with the Hut back then.

We went to this location on Saturday night. We have never gone to this location and we were on this side of town that day. My kids wanted pizza and so we ordered on the app and waited the allocated time. When it was ready we went to the window and waited for what seemed to be 20 mins or more. We considered leaving but my wife told me to call the store so I did. There was no answer. So I called again, and this time the call center picked up and thought I was trying to place an order. I explained that we already ordered and we had been waiting at the window. She told me to hold on as she would call the store. After a while later she came back on and said that someone would be there in a few mins. So we continued to wait and finally a younger woman and what appeared to be a manager showed up. They came out of the corner in what seemed to be in a hurry and as the manager was coming to the window the younger woman was fixing her hair. It seemed like maybe other things were going on but that is only my assumption. We finally got the food that was not very warm and did not have extra beef like we asked for. READ ALL TO HEAR ABOUT CREDIT CARD FRAUD- Manager told the employee to go home and not come back and bring me my cheese and peppers. He said he will not send someone back to my house for just cheese and peppers. I said i cant believe you would rather lose a customer over a trip to bring cheese and peppers. He didnt care and wouldnt refund my tip i gave before finding out the girl didnt bring any cheese and peppers. They said you have to request cheese and peppers to get cheese and peppers. What happened to the old days where they brougt some regardless? This store is worthless. UPDATE- Credit Card was commited by an employee at this location. I went and picked up a pizza and when my wife checked the statement there was an extra $5 charge. I spoke with a supervisor who stated that the employee had tossed the receipt and it was pretty shady. All they could say is they would investigate it and they refunded me the money. We are talking about a guy who wrote in a tip, for a pickup not a delivery. This is a scam, stay away from here. I will never come back here as my credit cars are at jeopardy and I never received a full apology and explanation of why...
