Starbucks — Restaurant in Amarillo

The Starbucks on Soncy is my favorite store of all the Starbucks in Amarillo. There are some in town that I avoid like the plague because they just never make my drinks right and/or have very rude or unprofessional employees. However this one has consistently made drinks perfectly over the years. The baristas here are friendly, helpful, and professional and seem well trained. The management here is doing something very right and a lot of the other stores should figure out what it is and follow their good example. Just today when I was in, two different employees addressed me by my name to make friendly conversation even though they were extremely busy and moving at a fast pace to stay ahead of the game. This took me off guard at first; I wasn’t sure they were really talking to me because I’m not used to any employees anywhere exhibiting such kind and social natures anymore. Outgoing hospitality and personal connection with customers seems to be a rare luxury of the past that is sadly falling into obsolescence in our modern society. It was a super pleasant surprise and took my positive opinion of this particular location even higher....

My favorite place for my coffee. I’ve had only one experience that was unpleasant, in the few years I’ve been coming here. The young girl at drive-thru gave me my order, (Venti Caramel Crunch Frappuccino )… WITH THE CUP CRACKED!!! Needless to say it dripped everywhere including on the side of my car. She obviously knew the cup was cracked cause she rapidly gave us the cup and said” here you go” and closed the window… Not the typical greeting and farewell filled with hospitality we always get any other time we come through. We asked asked for the Manager which deeply apologized, refunded our money along with giving us a gift card. I have to say this Manager truly went the extra mile for us. I was very impressed, with his courtesy and professionalism. A simple apology and remake of my order would have sufficed, but he went above and beyond for customer satisfaction. For that I give you guys at my favorite Starbucks 4 stars....

Do not go here. Try a local coffee shop. Extremely poor customer service. I waited at the register for 5 minutes before being helped. The car cashier told the regular cashier to help me and she said she knew I was there but she was busy doing other things which she didn't start until I after I stood at the register. Then stopped seeing that I heard this, and grudgingly ask what I wanted to order. She was not even wearing a Starbucks apron. When she went to get me the loaf instead of grabbing it from the case she went and got one from a plastic bag. Which takes away from the Starbucks experience completely. Note that they were not out of stock in the case. Then I saw them take a dominos pizza to the back room which I am sure is against some health code. The coffee wasn't burnt but it did not taste like a normal Carmel macchiato. Poor service but nice places to sit and meh coffee gives this...
