Me, my mother, and some random we found off the street all hopped in the car and said, "yes, we want a peanut butter bacon cheeseburger. Tonight." My mother and the rando (who I will name Sonic the Hedgehog TM) went down to our local Sonic, thinking it would be like the Pickle Juice slushie they had awhile back (remember when that was a thing? Sonic is wild man). But when we pulled up to the drive thru, the very tired teenager threw a peanut butter bacon burger at my mother (for free!). It magically stayed in one piece, foreshadowing what would happen. We pulled up to the tiny parking lot and as I sat in the backseat, sipping on a very overpriced shake, my mother and Sonic the Hedgehog TM took their first bite of their respective burgers. After their first bite, they sort of laughed. A anxious giggle. "Haha, what did we just eat?" But then, something happened. Their laughter died down, and they started leaning back in their seats. When I tapped my mom's shoulder, she started floating. Snapping her seat belt and up through the car ceiling. She ascended to God knows where. Then Sonic the Hedgehog TM simply said, "Huh, this was better than I thought it would be." I nodded and watched as my mom flied further and further out of view. Suddenly, I heard a knock on the car door. I looked over. It was my dad! I hadn't seen him since 1608! I opened the door and hugged him. He explained that he smelled the putrid smell of the peanut butter bacon cheeseburger (the bacon doesn't smell too pleasant, especially with the peanut butter. Like, can't tell if it's crunchy or smooth smh) and came to smash it in the ground. Sonic the Hedgehog TM was so shocked that he disintegrated, turning into nothing more than a peanut butter bacon cheeseburger. I took previously Sonic the Hedgehog TM, now a peanut butter bacon cheeseburger, and gave it to my father, to which he slammed it on the ground and stomped on it. We laughed, and then stopped. "C'mon, my child, let's go." And we held hands and skipped into the distance. I highly recommend this burger (the peanut butter and bacon cheeseburger, if you forgot what it was called). It made both my mom (wherever she is) and Sonic the Hedgehog TM happy and reunited me with my dad. Would suggest removing the cheese though. It doesn't really...
Read moreI was walking out of Malwart, passing the Golden Arches, and thinking about getting a shake at this hour. But then I got a great idea. “I’ve never been to that Sonic, right outside. I bet they have better shakes.”
I get acquainted with the menu, and decide to try some hot food too. So I get a baby burrito with my classic hot fudge shake.
I don’t know how long it takes to make these things, but I’m guessing it’s instantaneous. Because however long it took to get someone to carry out the order, that’s how long my food was sitting on a counter, getting old.
What are those pink droplets on the hood of my melted shake? When I finished slurping, I found out those were the artifacts of the cherry that rolled off the whipped topping and sank to the bottom of that mess. Because it was melted.
Zero Fox Given.
I get it. It’s a party night in summer, and you’ll all be going back to school next week. So this job is over anyway. Maybe the Xmas crew will do better. But next time I get that craving for a frosty treat while leaving the big box, I’m gonna just turn right around and grab a carton of mint-chip. Eating it out of the tub in the parking lot is guaranteed to be...
Read moreI keep trying this fast food restaurant hoping it gets better, but am usually disappointed time and again. On my latest visit, I received my food and the main food items I ordered were luke warm, very greasy, and tough to bite into and chew. I called my car hop (yes they bring your food out to your car if parked in a stall) back and explained the problem. She was very nice about it and took my food back in to replace it. When she returned with my order, I checked it and found the "new and fresh" ordered product was just as luke warm and inedible. She offered to return it again but I declined and told her I didn't have the time to continue doing this. I recommended she have a word with her manager about the problems in the kitchen, thanked her and took my food home and re-warmed it to eat it...and it was still better than what they offered straight out of the kitchen. Someone at this location really needs to note this review and start working on correcting the problems this Sonic has been plagued with...
