We've given this Domino's branch 4 total tries since we've moved into Ames about two years ago. First, they forgot a pizza from the order. Second, when we went in to pick up, the girl behind the counter reeked of molly, and two guys (employees or not, they were behind the counter) were playing catch with a ball, and they got our order completely wrong. Third, one pizza was burnt. And today, fourth, was just a disaster..
We ordered delivery. The delivery driver left the store at 3:43 (per the tracker). He must have taken another delivery or stopped by his girlfriend's house because he was on a weird route and showed up around 4:15/:20.
The doorbell rings. By the time I get out of my chair and open the door, I already hear him leaving the building. We're on the third floor of our building, meaning he had to have tossed the pizzas down and sprinted downstairs--which is exactly what he did. We ordered two pizzas and a dessert. All three boxes were skewed apart from each other on the ground. One pizza was upside down. The dessert box was halfway open. Aside from the one pizza's toppings needing to be scraped off the top of its box, the only thing wrong with the food was that it was almost cold and the dessert was undercooked and mushy.
I swear I ordered from the east Domino's branch on Lincoln Way, but I suppose this is on me from not double checking.
I'm not asking for a refund. I'm not asking for the driver to be reprimanded. What I hope to achieve with this review is to warn others away from here and hope it either shapes up or sinks. If you're a student in the dorms, this might be a good late-night munchy spot. Otherwise, please do yourself a favor and take the extra distance to order from the Domino's on east Lincoln Way. So much friendlier, cleaner, and more professional.
Thank you for coming to...
Read moreOrdered pizza from here two years ago and it was amazing every time. Now, this place seems to be run by people who don't care. The first order two months ago was for a single pizza. 50 minutes after ordering I was called and told they didnt have the ingredients for my order. I said that was okay and to replace that pizza with a different one. Another 50 minutes pass and my pizza finally arrives as a combination of BBQ chicken and Philly Cheese steak (yuck). The second order later was just 2 pizzas. The delivery driver got lost and had to call me two times despite me living on Lincoln Way where he explained to me that my apt wasnt on google maps (it was). When he got to my residence I opened the door and said hello, he gave me the receipt and pizza without saying a word then walked away. The pizza itself was also missing the signature buttery/garlic crust and instead was just bland bread.
I used to order from here weekly but I...
Read moreAwful experience! My friends and I placed an order through the Dominos app. We placed the order at 10:05pm and it had been over an hour so we called them at 11:22. They told us on the phone that the driver was on Sheldon Ave and should be there in 2-5 minutes. It had been another 20 minutes, so I decided to call the store again at 11:38 and ask about our food. On the website, it guarantees a refund on non-bulk orders that take over 30 minutes to be delivered. I asked if we could get a refund and the employee on the phone said that policy is no longer in place and he can just cancel our order. No explanation or apology as to why our food is taking so long. I am now writing this message at 11:49 and our food is still not here. Absolutely ridiculous. We paid and even tipped but I will not give my money here again! In no universe does it take almost 2 hours to make and deliver 2 pizzas with some...
