Delicious! I felt so sorry for them because they are experiencing a lot of early success and were slammed with Door Dash orders when we got there and were churning out dozens of wraps. Clearly Ames was in desperate need of some Mediterranean food! So we did wait a long time for our food but that did not bother me, however you should be aware of this and plan for it. Also their dine in area is very small so be aware of that as well. The portion sizes were generous. All the food tasted delicious and so fresh. I am from out of town but if I weren't I'd be in there at least once a week eating. I wish them all the success, mashallah.

Wow, this place has absolutely blown me away! I’ve come in here several times to pick up DoorDash orders and finally thought I’d stop in today, and try the food for myself. I got a spring style steak Shawarma with falafel as a side. Oh boy, let me tell you this was an amazing choice. There was so much flavor so many different unique flavor is working together. And another note as far as I can tell this is just two boys and their mother working to make a living and they are killing it! I wish these guys the best I can and much success! I can’t wait to bring my fiancé here!

Grabbing a quick lunch at one my favorite restaurants in town. Taza Mediterranean Grill is a quiet little family owned business next to Best Buy on South Duff. They serve up gyros, salads, falafel, pitas and rice bowls. My favorite is the Chicken Taza Bowl with basmati rice, mixed greens, tomatoes, pickled onions, hummus, tahini sauce and grilled chicken. If you have room, definitely try the baklava. Halal option upon request.

We had the two falafel pita’s and one falafel wrap. Both were delicious. I am happy to support a local business instead of a chain restaurant. I teach safety and sanitation at the university and want to give my feedback on safety and sanitation which you should work on. I know it’s hard to do but continuous cleaning is a must for hygiene as it creates a good impression to see a clean space! Your cleanliness is acceptable but could be made better!

My suggestions: Wear a hat or hairnet when making and serving food. Your hair should not be without a restraint.

Clean up the trash asap when you see it filling up or push to down so it’s not spilling out.

The restaurant had some paper trash on the floor possibly from guests who opened their straws or handled napkins. Customers may not be always responsible to keep spaces clean (though customers should not litter in restaurants). If you see any trash or pieces of food, it’s must be removed immediately.

The floor needs a good mopping. With all that leg traffic in the restaurant, cleaning the floor is important!(which you do but must do more often and scrub harder).

Your space is small enough that you can clean easily.

Lastly, smile when you greet customers, be cheerful and lively always. Demonstrate enthusiasm. Ask if the customers need anything else, ask if everything is tasting good, etc. Your space is small so you can easily ask that even from behind the counter or quickly stop by the tables. It’s all part of good customer service.

As a food safety educator for foodservice operations at Iowa State University, I am happy to come and do an assessment and provide more guidance.

We will be back again to support your business but I would hate for you to lose business because of factors you can easily control And also now you have competition from the new Garbanzo restaurant so you have to make extra efforts to stay...

I try not to write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to this time. I’m allergic to dairy, and I ordered the chicken salad online for takeout — which doesn’t have any dairy listed in the ingredients on the menu. When I got to the restaurant and saw the sauce on it, I asked if it was dairy and they said yes. I asked if I could get it without dairy because I’m allergic and told them I was sorry I didn’t indicate my allergy but that I didn’t think I needed to since the menu didn’t say the sauce they put on it came on it. they put up a stink but finally agreed to remake it, except they told me they were out of chicken. they told me I could have falafel (cheaper than chicken). I also can’t eat chickpeas so I asked for steak (more expensive than chicken). they said no until I asked again. then they put some lettuce in a new container for me but didn’t actually make the salad. the guy in line behind me ordered chicken no problem. after about 10 mins of watching other people order chicken and my random bowl of lettuce sit in waiting while they made other orders, I decided I didn’t want to wait anymore and took my original salad home to my roommate and cooked myself a different dinner instead. I think they were genuinely waiting me out and had no plans to remake it. this was some of the worst service I’ve ever received, and I feel as though it was genuinely dangerous since I have an allergy. also, I ordered the salad without tomatoes (not allergic but I have acid reflux), and I saw them put tomatoes on it, realize their mistake, and then take them off. it made me concerned about their lack of concern for potential allergies/contamination, which is why I decided to write this review. I will not be eating...

My daughter and I tried this place for lunch yesterday. The food is decent. However, the prices are ridiculous for the type of restaurant that it is and the quality of the food. We each ordered a wrap meal which includes a side and a drink. For my side, I chose the hummus. The cashier asked if I wanted pita bread with the hummus. Of course I wanted pita bread...how else are you supposed to eat hummus...with my fingers? Then found out after that they charge extra if you want to eat the hummus on pita bread! Why would you offer hummus as a side if you have to pay an additional charge for the pita bread to eat it with? The bill came to $32 for the 2 of us which I thought was outrageous. Way overpriced! We will not...
