Terrible Experience – Avoid This Place! I had one of the worst dining experiences here. The food was absolutely pathetic—especially the chicken, which not only stank but was clearly undercooked and unsafe to eat. When we brought this to their attention, the staff were rude and uncooperative, outright refusing to return or cancel the order. There was zero concern for customer satisfaction or food safety. I’m extremely disappointed and honestly shocked by their behavior. I will never visit this place again and strongly urge others to stay away. Save your money and health—go somewhere that actually values hygiene and customer service.

Love the food, vibe, environment, everything of this place. Recently graduated from Amherst College and kinda sad wouldn’t have access to this place. Idk why this restaurant is not as popular as Bombay Royale but it definitely should be. For south Asian people, first try the food once at least before judging. Also, the lady is amazing. Her sweetness is the best thing at this place. Feels like home.

I was very pleasantly surprised!! I’m going be ordering from here again for sure! UPDATE - I just made a catering order for school event and they were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure we were within our budget! Thank you so much Paradise of India and I’m super excited for the food!!

I have to give them 5 stars. This restaurant has been in Amherst for so long which says a lot about their quality and consistency. The food is amazing and portions are great! In terms of authenticity you can be assured your getting authentic Indian food, I went many times with my friend from Mumbai and she was always impressed with the food! This is a family owned local restaurant which makes me feel even better when I eat and do business with them. Their staff is very friendly and accommodating and I've always felt taken care of when I eat here. The restaurant itself is small but very beautifully decorated and clean!!! I have never had to complain about a dish or call for an error in my order!! I order a lot of take out and I cant say the same for other restaurants.

I also know that this business participated in a program during the pandemic to make meals for low income people in the town of Amherst. To me, that is enough of a reason to give them my business and go out of my way to eat there. When times are hard and people step up to help, that's when you know their true character and I believe these people are an excellent example of great...

The whole experience is wonderful- especially in this rural setting where popovers are worshipped and apple butter is a delicacy. The menu is loaded with interesting and tasty dishes made at any spice-level you want. Lunch is a particular bargain, but for these meticulously made items like homemade cheese and naan bread fluffier than a cloud I dare people to try to make any item better at home. I’d love to hear about your chutney in Kerela that was better, but remember… this is Amherst and we are so blessed to have people making outstanding recipes from one of the great ancient cultures of the world right here. Next to great popovers at the Black Sheep. The family that owns this restaurant is very kind and the whole experience is one of being transported across the world to another time and place. Linen napkins sit in huge water glasses that you will need filled repeatedly if you ask for the spiciest renditions. The service is very attentive so you will not run out. To me this place is a hidden gem that represents great cuisine brilliantly in the...

Mostly to satisfy my Pakistani food cravings in US, I go to Indian restaurants, only to find out that only name of the restaurant is Indian but chefs and owners are all Pakistanis. This has happened with me several time. Maybe, it is because, Pakistani and Indian cuisine is pretty much the same but more Indian people reside in US and keeping Indian names of restaurants is a good business strategy to bring more customers. I always had an amazing food experience in such restaurants. This one was first exception. The name was Indian and the owners were too. Maybe, my taste bud didn't match or what, I had the worst Biryani experience. Pakistanis are pretty sensitive about Biryani (not kidding). What this restaurant brought me, calling it a Biryani I is straight insult. wasn't even a Biryani. Other than that, their sitting arrangement is very clean and...
