Based on experience 9/22/2025. DO NOT LET OVERALL RATING FOOL YOU.
Ordering experience was not bad. There was a line, it moved decently, not too slow but not super fast (maybe it should be slower though....).
Prices were kinda high, but because they are Tijuana-style tacos, they do come with the avocado salsa on top already.
The place was clean, was playing music and had a tv. Bathroom available as well. And we didn't really wait too long on the food.
That is about all the nice things to say about Angel's though. My roommate bought 2 tripa tacos and an al pastor baked potato, and I got a carne asada taco, chorizo taco, and al pastor potato for myself.
Tripa taco - Terrible. Tasted like someone burnt it and mixed in the chared parts.
Carne asada taco: Awful, the asada was so tough, it had to be several hours old sitting in a warmed container drying up.
Chorizo taco: Disgusting. Nearly spit it out, probably should have. Tasted sour? I don't know how to explain, but it did not taste like what chorizo should taste like.
Al pastor Potato: The most bland tasting Al pastor I've ever had. Genuinely wasn't sure if they put the correct meat on the potato, because all I could taste was salsa, sour cream, and potato, yes I could taste the potato more than the meat.
Tortillas - inconsistent. Some were fine, some smelt like dirty dish water.
Something has happened to Angel's, and it's very unfortunate. It came recommended by a trusted friend, but it barely met standards for being edible, much less "good". Do not come, at least until their social media addresses what's happened as there is an influx of terrible...

I’ve visited your establishment twice, and on both occasions, the same individual was working at the register. From my experience, her demeanor appeared disengaged and unfriendly—she rarely smiled and gave the impression that serving customers was more of a burden than a responsibility. As you know, customer service is an art, and great service can often redeem even the simplest meal. I hope this employee can receive proper training to better understand the value of hospitality and customer engagement. If improvement is not possible, it may be time to consider a staff member better suited for the role.
On the positive side, the grilled tacos were particularly enjoyable. The restaurant is clean, the water served is fresh, and the vegetable bar is well stocked. I also appreciated the reasonable food preparation time and the option to order food to-go. Seating options are well-arranged, with both counter stools and tables available.
One small recommendation: avoid placing guacamole directly on the tacos, as it tends to make them soggy. Serving it in a separate container would be a better presentation choice.
Lastly, the surrounding area does show signs of homelessness, which may affect a guest’s perception of the business. While this may be beyond your control, any measures that could enhance safety and comfort for your guests would be appreciated.
Overall, I see strong potential in your restaurant. I hope these suggestions are helpful as you continue to grow and enhance your...
Read more@grubwithgreg on Instagram gets the credit for my finding this place. But I'm glad I did. Loaded fries Wednesday $9 was the perfect thing for 2 to share. Horchata $6 (since when did horchata become expensive? At least it was good) These were a bed of fries with nachos cheese, shredded cheese, your choice of meat (I chose asada) salsa verde, guacamole (they weren't cheap on that either) cilantro and onion. Utilize the fresh bar for those fried jalapeños...yum! I also got a side of fresh made corn tortillas (thank you Fabian, (manager) you made the difference) Those tortillas were perfection. I could just order those, roll them and dip them in the salsa verde and be happy. Used some of the meat to make a few tacos because there was just so much meat. We couldn't even eat it all, but still left stuffed. I don't live in this area but visit often because of Disneyland. So whereas this place won't be a regular place to visit, I will be back. So why 4 stars? Atmosphere. I love a Mexican restaurant with Mexican music playing in the background. It adds to ambiance and experience. But here, the music is just too loud. It's hard to have a conversation with whoever you're with and it detracts from the experience in general. Like I said, I'll be back... but next time I'll...
