This is a McDonald's, so if you reset your expectations, you won't be disappointed. After all, this isn't fine dining or even Shake Shack. This is a fast-food franchise known for quantity and not quality.
The Setting: Located in a large strip mall beside a Tesla dealership, there is usually plenty of parking. Inside it is one of the more modern Micky D's, with 2 touchscreen kiosks, newish furniture, and modern aesthetics. It was fairly clean, and there were plenty of tables open.
The Service: I'm mixed on this aspect of my review, as the sole employee I interacted with (I think her name was Brenda) was quite friendly and helpful. However this location appears to be understaffed so it took awhile for our food to come out (approximately 7 to 10 minutes), keeping in mind that this is supposed to be a fast-food joint.
Plus, when we first entered, there was no one at the cash register, and we were greeted by the two kiosks inste6. This is more of a knock on the management not the staff, as it's pretty clear management wants to keep costs down -- even if it means less human customer service.
The Food: We ordered a cheeseburger, large fries, and large Coke. How was it? The cheeseburger is exactly as you'd expect: small, dry, and lifeless. The fries were OK, but since they haven't used beef tallow in years (decades?) to fry them, they're just half decent instead of delicious like they used to be. Fortunately, MacDonald's serves the best Coke on the planet (thanks to its exclusive formulation deal with Coca-Cola) so the drink was outstanding.
The Cost: Considering I'm expecting mediocre to mid food with minimal customer service, the prices are ridiculously high! In fact, the sudden surge in cost since the pandemic is the main reason I don't eat very often at MacDonald's anymore (we'll, aside from health reasons of course ).
Overall: If I wanted quality fast food, I would have gone to The Habit. If I wanted affordability, I would have went to In-N-Out. But I wanted convenience and a good Coke, so I went here. Reset my expectations and got exactly what I expected. For that, I give this place a passing grade and will return again if I'm in the area and in need of a...
Read moreWent in to order my usual 2 shots of espresso over XL cup of Ice which I add my own protein drink to. The girl who took my order placed my order but was confused as to how to charge me. I informed her I usually just get charged for the 2 shots of espresso. Another employee from the order side of the counter shouted you ordered 2 shots of espresso. I said yes but can you put it over an XL cup of ice. She then said why cant you just get your own cup of ice and pointed to cup soda cups behind me. I responded by saying because I want it in a plastic cup. I waited for my order and it was given to me in a small coffee cup with no cup of ice. I asked the employee who gave it to me for an XL cup of ice and he hand me a XL soda cup. I again requested can I get a plastic cup he just starred at me and the young lady who originally placed my order handed me the plastic cup. I don't understand why this transaction had to be so difficult. I also have gone to place the same order at Starbucks for the same price and have never had a problem there. What kind of customer service do you call this? This is a new establishment and has already received several bad reviews. The owners really need to teach their employees about good customer service skills if this Mc Donalds wants to...
Read moreI placed an online order through the app. First of all this location isn't easy to get to and the usual signs dedicated to online pick ups isn't at this location like every single other location on the planet. For such a rich area I would really expect them to have the most modern advances in food pick up. Also once I got there the employees had no idea what my order was even though I gave them the Code which was only two letters and two numbers long. Apparently they can figure out what a mobile order was like it was the first time they have ever heard of it. finally I had to go through the drive-thru I told the guy three times what I was there for pulled up to the window and he started handing me the wrong order. I guess I got a free child Sprite out of the ordeal but to back up my statement of a 2 star rating is mostly because they got my order wrong then I had to pull up so they could bring me my order and on my way home I found out they even messed that up. All I ordered was a double bacon cheeseburger with only extra mustard nothing else I got no mustard and a ton of ketchup ew! So in conclusion the parking situation for picking up mobile orders is less than desirable the drive-thru staff was incapable of getting my order to me finding it or even delivering...
