First time we've really had a problem here and we've eaten here many times. First- the service. The first girl to come to our table said she was going to be taking our drink order then our actual waitress would take over as she was busy. No problem. Well then the same girl brought our drinks and then took our food order. She brought us our food and we never saw her again. Not sure of she left or quit or what. Second, my wife's gluten free pizza was undercooked throughout. To the point you could see the moisture in the dough. After getting through with our meal, we sat and waited 30 minutes for our bill while other tables were seated around us, served, and shuffled out. Finally I stood up and asked a random waitress who had walked by us multiple times if we could have our check. She asked if we knew who our waitress was and we laughed and said we had no idea. We put our card in the envelope and waited another 15 minutes. It wasn't until I was getting ready to walk the bill to the front counter did the random waitress took it and finally closed it out. Mind you, we were sitting at the table with a 7 month old baby. We were never apologized to for any wrongdoing or anything. At one point, the baby dropped her pacifier and I got up to pick it up. As I bent over, an employee (older lady) tried to push behind me as I was picking it up almost falling over and almost knocking me over in the process. We were really disappointed with this as we come a long way for the gluten free pizza served at...
Read moreI've been a fan of LaRosa's in Cincinnati for decades, appreciating its place as a beloved local staple. However, my recent visit left me less than impressed. While the food remains consistent, it leans towards the greasy side. The biggest letdown was the music playlist, which felt outdated and mismatched with the current crowd. A fresher playlist could enhance the dining experience and make it more enjoyable for everyone. It felt as if we were getting the "cost cutter" Version of the Olive Garden playlist. Where Olive Garden has the Frank Sinatra & The Rat Pack playlist on repeat.....maybe suggesting....."this is what eating italian sounds like. Where Larosas has the "Great Value" playlist.....where their choice of Italian music is apparently Doo Wop and everything that makes you feel like your at a Car Show or living in the movie American Graffiti. Why am I complaining about music and not the food? I dunno....cause that was my experience......I might be the only person who feels this way but thats where we're at. So back to the food....its pretty ok......Thr pizza and the pasta taste the same as it did when I was a teen.......so I gotta give it to them......they keep...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. Larosas holds a special place in my heart, but what I witnessed irked me to my core. Anyone who knows me, know that I ove this restaurant chain because it was my late wife and my favorite place. It served many of my family and friends. This is why leave a one star annoys me so much. I decided to go to this restaurant for a date and what an I greeted by? 2 people standing in their back area just chatting away ignoring us.
While not looking it for customers, these two were oblivious to the sound of the door or their jobs. One of the two was just playing on their phone. When the 'manager' arrived to ask if we were dining in our carrying out I told them flat out we weren't dining there. Just because you have down time doesn't mean you don't watch for customers. Sad thing is, b I've been this larosas before and it was decent. I do not recommend this one anymore unless something...
