They typically have a very good variety of items here. It usually doesn't take long to order even when it is very busy. The biggest complaint I have that drags the review down so drastically is the fact that people smoke right near the order window and at the tables. Not only that but the smoking is never addressed. We are non smokers and due to health reasons certain members of our family cannot be around smoke at all. Too many times to count we have went here only to turn and leave because people will smoke as they stand in line or smoke at the tables. It makes it impossible to go enjoy ourselves here because of that. There is supposed to be a non-smoking within so many feet law, but it is never upheld. Other than those issues their milkshakes are some of the very best I have had. Their ice cream is pretty good as well. I just wish they would not allow employees to smoke. Due to this we make the drive to Jimmie's in Pendleton where we have never had an issue with people...

While waiting for my server to get a carrier for my flurries, another server leaned over my ice cream to hand a purchase to another customer and put her sweatshirted elbow in both cups. They then tried to go ahead and serve it to me and I objected strongly. I said that other girl just put her elbow and sweatshirt in both of my ice creams. I don't want those and I would like a new one of each flavor. Fortunately they did accommodate me and made me new ice creams without sweater fuzz or food from the day from her sweatshirt. Also, I don't know what they've done to the barbecue sandwich but mine was very greasy and the meat was chewy and dry yet it had too much sauce and it did not taste good at all. This is a blast from the past 1940s style ice cream/fast food place. The food of quick and uncomplicated. The desserts are complicated and customizable. It is one of those places that used to represent "Americana". Everything they serve is delicious and bad for you! A word about the building. There is no indoor seating. You order from a window in the front. There are head in parking spaces right up against the building. I suspect at one point wait staff would come take your order from you in your car.
