We've been to the Muncie restaurant and we’re looking forward to trying the new Anderson place when we booked our table for 6.30 on Monday. My husband adores rib eye so I knew he’d be happy. They do have a special on sirloin steak on a Monday so I expected it to be lively. Parking was good with plenty of space and the outside was clean. Signage to find the door could be better but once we entered the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Nice lighting and someone to greet us. We had booked, so expected to be shown in to the restaurant but instead we were given the table closest to the door opposite the bathrooms. When we asked if they had anything a little further in we were received a very grumpy look and were told no! Even though the place was far from full. I explained that we’d come to get a feel for the place with the intention of making this a regular haunt whereupon we were told we could go take a look, but would have to come back to the table assigned. If it hadn’t been for a waiter with a much better demeanour who gave us a table further along, we would have walked out then and there. The fried green tomatoes had been recommended so we ordered those for our shared starter. The same waiter was attentive and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. He took our order and was prompt with our drinks and starter. Beer and cocktail was nice. The green fried tomatoes were more batter than tomato and not very hot.. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye with scallop potatoes and corn, I went for the sirloin with creamed spinach and onion rings because I thought the choice of side dishes was limited and we wanted to try a range of dishes to give a broad review. When we cut our steaks they were as ordered. My sirloin was cool to the touch but I stuck with it and tried the onion rings. Again cold, and they looked better than they tasted. The creamed spinach was more cream than spinach but it was hot. It looked more like a shared starter than a side. My husband had decent corn and scallop potatoes. Steak was nice but not very marbled. Neither of us ate more than half of our steaks. The glass of Merlot I had was very nice and our service was great throughout. If you're expecting a similar experience to the Muncie Lahody’s then you need to...

The Crowning Glory
Despite our hasty departure, one element stood out brilliantly - the house-famous "Smoked Old Fashioned." My wife's eyes lit up with each sip, declaring it the best she's had in years. This cocktail alone is worth a return visit, preferably with ample time to enjoy it properly.
In conclusion, our whirlwind visit to this steakhouse was a tantalizing teaser of what promises to be an exceptional dining experience. Read moreTo start got there before reservations and decided to have a drink at the bar. Ordered a Old Fashion so did they wife. Bartender offered three different bourbons smoked, maple, and regular. I don't like smoked liquor. So I ordered the regular and wife got maple. Both were delicious. We were seated at the time of reservation for four. Our waitress was Taryn who done a fantastic job throughout meal. I ordered the fired green tomatoes. They were ok nothing special not much flavor. Wouldn't order again. My cousin and his wife ordered the escargot they also were just ok. Have had better on both appetizers. I got the 14oz dry aged NY strip medium rare. Comes with two sides. I got mushrooms and jalapeño queso scallop potatoes. They steak was over cooked it was medium well (I did not complain) I ate it. Was not impressed ok flavor. The mushrooms were also just ok. Have had better ones at a nearby restaurant. Now the scallop potatoes were excellent definitely would get again. The wife enjoyed her sirloin and especially her broccoli. She also enjoyed her loaded baked potato. I also tried the Punch Romaine. Umm not my cup of tea. Overall I would go back and try something else. As a whole I guess I maybe hard to please at an expensive restaurant. I just think I should be wowed with the kind of...
