I'm and artist and an art lover. I also love a deal, so when I was able to get my kids in for $1 each and me in for $2, I was happy enough. The lady at the front told us about each exhibit and mentioned a children's area downstairs. She also mentioned they are changing exhibits. The entire museum was basically changing and was sitting in boxes. Everywhere. Downstairs was changing as well, I guess. There were a few climbing toys, but my kids are 10 and 11 so not a lot interesting to them. There was a bookshelf behind a lot of boxes that looked as though it had books for $0.50 and $1.00. There were boxes of supplies sitting on a table with signs about making crafts, but I felt like I had walked into someone's basement and didn't think I should unpack it all. The building is amazing. Some really cool architecture. It could be amazing. Everything felt so modern, aside from the basement which felt outdated (hence the update, I guess?). I hate to rate this so low, but I just wouldn't recommend it.

It was closed when I was there. I think an infestation of Pokemon may have been responsible. I personally captured a Lillipup, 2 rather sizeable Goldens, a Surskit, an Exeggcute and the biggest Magikarp I've ever seen.

Beautiful building! The efforts to restore the historical value are amazing. I love how the different art pieces are rotated. Can't wait till the 21st! It looked empty but don't miss a treat, go on in!

I went with zero expectations, hoping to find a little inspiration. When I pulled up to the building, I was very impressed as it's a gorgeous historical piece of architecture. So imagine my surprise when I walked in and the volunteer was very confused about anything to do with paying for my entry fee, paying for items I bought in the gift shop, just overall seemed very flighty. Imagine my even bigger surprise when there was not a painting to be found, not a single sculpture, literally nothing but quilts made by the same person for all of the space that this museum has It is only small areas on one level that have anything to do with art. The pieces available for sale in the gift shop or far more impressive to look at because at least there were small paintings, pieces made from clay etc. I suppose I can say it went and be done with it but I will say that I will not recommend this place to anyone hanging out...
