Yosaku Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Anderson

Ate here for years and always enjoyed it. Until one evening I got food from the buffet and shortly after I started eating it I found a BED BUG (I assume based on pictures I found on google) in my food. Took the food back, the lady behind the counter tried to explain it away as "seasoning" and when I pointed out that seasoning does not have LEGS, she became upset with me. I was able to get my refund of $12 after she demanded that I go home and get the rest of the food that I had ordered (a small side of lo mein) which I had thrown away because my son was eating it and I didn't want him to eat bugs. The woman told me she would never serve me again which I was quite thankful for but I find it so disappointing that instead trying to make things right or apologize she immediately became defensive and argumentative as if I was trying to embarrass her after being a regular customer and interacting with her dozens of times over the past few years.

This is nothing like what we were expecting. I travel constantly all over the u.s. for work so I try a LOT of different foods and I try out a lot of new places. I was looking for a decent buffet for our lunch break and decided to stop here. The restaurant was clean and well maintained but the buffet was much smaller than expected. The noodles were dry and flavorless, most of the chicken choices were flavorless, the broccoli wasn't cooked all the way, the sauces they used weren't as flavorful or even the correct flavors for those dishes. They did have some amazing Egg Drop Soup tho! It was hot and tasted amazing! I always have a hard time finding anywhere that makes a good egg drop soup but they sure did! I'd rethink ordering the sweet tea tho, because it was way to sugary! Other than that, the staff was great! Very nice, very attentive, and they make sure the buffet is always stocked! There are only a few places left downtown to grab a bite to eat or dine at, but this place totally delivers with their Asian buffet and take out. The only downside is pretty much the same as with most buffets, which is that at times the food is not very fresh and has been sitting there on a warmer for a bit too long. There have only been a couple of times that this has happened where there wasn't much fresh food choices at the buffet, which at times has made me regret having to pay. But typically this is not the case, and it is an absolute delight and oh so delicious! I'm glad we still have the choices that we do downtown, and am glad this is one of them. Me and my family get together and go at least a couple times a month. The waitress is right there at the table to ask straight away what we would all like to drink, and also very pleasant to conversate with. There is never a wait, for anything.
