What a disappointment. 8:20 on a Sunday morning and it's packed, which is expected especially since the place just opened. I leave and go through the drive thru. First the lady in front of me is taking a long time but no big deal. Then I pull up to order. I think a couple cans connected with a string would be better than their mic system. It was louder than all get out and echoed so bad I could hear myself a second after I talked. Then the car in front of the lady pays, gets their order and leaves only to be followed by the lady. I'm thinking why would a person waste everyone's time in the drive thru only to just leave. Little did I know it was foreshadowing. So now it's my turn. Window opens and kid says that will be $23. Um no, I had I glazed, one chocolate with sprinkles and one apple fritter. That must have been the lady in front of me. Oh she didn't order anything. Huh? Your's is $3.50. I pay and the window closes. I wait for a minute and he never comes back. Finally he re opens the window and I say I never got my order. He looks at me like I had a larger cold sore on my lip than he had on his. (Sorry kid) He then says oh sorry here's your coffee. I said it's not mine. He looks at a small bag in front of him and he hands it to me and tried to give me the coffee again. No, still not mine. I leave and get home. Give the kids their donuts and notice there are no sprinkles and think yep Joe Pesci was right, you get blanked at the drive thru. Not only was there no sprinkles on one but they were kind of firm for what I would assume to be fresh donuts. Kids are totally unimpressed. I tried the apple fritter and yea... How could a store with donuts right there in their name make some of the worst donuts around. The place has only been a few days and they already are selling stale donuts? If anything they should still have been steaming. Maybe, just maybe they don't even make them on site. Now I know why the lady was in the drive though. I'm bet it was to complain. I'm sure this will be just like Krispy Kreme where everyone had to try it and then it died a lingering death until they all closed. Andover and Anoka County might not be the most fancy places around but we deserve better than the same old worn out chain...
Read moreI'm giving them the benefit of the doubt since they are new, but I've gone 3x and they have been out of almost every donut and never have any cold brew available. The service is hit or miss. They often mess up your order. Wanted to make it my daily go to coffee stop, but can't rely on their actually being coffee available.
Update: Okay they can't use the excuse that their new anymore. Unfortunately, this location is subpar from any other DD I've visited. Their always out of donuts, never had cold brew made, hire bizzare people who litterally make it so difficult to take an order, & do not even know the names of donuts. I wanted to make this my go to coffee place every morning, I actually like it better than Starbucks, but the inconsistency in how it's made or if it's even available that day, is not worth the risk for my morning commute. Too bad cause I love their cold brew (when it's even available).
Today, I visited, & they were out of pretty much all donuts, then when I did compromise for other kinds, they gave me the wrong ones in the bag. I ended up parking & walking inside to get the correct donuts that I ordered & actually overheard 3 employees making fun of me to each other (unaware I was now inside at the store counter) saying "too bad, don't always get what you want, can't have chocolate donuts everyday fatty". Boy were they were shocked when I called them out on it and that I was 110 lbs. They are giving...
Read moreIt was a very disappointing experience. I was overcharged and the drink maker was rude.
I had heard there was a sale on coldbrew, a medium for $3, so I wanted to try it even though I usually go for something sweeter. When I got to the store I asked if the medium cold brew was still on sale for $3 and she said yes, so I bought one. However when I checked my receipt she had charged me $4.39 (a 46% increase from the price she had quoted me less than 30 seconds earlier). When I got my drink I asked the drink maker (there was a line of people waiting to order and I didn't want to budge to ask the cashier a question that may have been a simple misunderstanding) about the price difference and she was very rude and condescending when she told me the sale had ended earlier. I went back to the cashier and told her what the drink maker had told me and the cashier said she thought the drinks were still on sale because there was a sign advertising it in the window. I then asked the cashier if she would credit me back the amount she had overcharged me but she was unwilling to credit me back the amount. I had to go or I would have been late to a meeting, but I was very disappointed in my visit. If I knew the cold brew was going to be that much I would have gotten something else like a...
