I normally stop once or twice a week on my way to work, but the service I received this past Friday (12/15) was unacceptable. I also go through the drive thru - I waited at the board to order for at least 5 minutes, remind you there was ONE vehicle in front of me - already at the window. I ordered ONE drink and was given my total. I approached the window to pay for my order - which was taken right away and I left a 15% tip, which I regret at this time. I waited for 10 minutes for ONE drink and I was at the window and already paid, so I couldn't leave. I was watching through the window and it was not busy - I saw 2 customers inside and there was 3 people working. I saw 4 people drive off behind me in the drive thru - due to the wait. A woman finally came back to the window after 10 minutes - she then thought I was someone else and gave me their total. I explained that I'm still waiting for my ONE drink. Two minutes later, she came back with my ONE drink. No apology- nothing. I was late for work and my drink was half full and cold. I always order a large white chocolate mocha - hot. Very simple order! When I finally received my drink - I pulled around to see if the inside was busy because then maybe I could understand the wait - there was no one waiting. They are too focused on online orders and cant keep up with customers. I'll take my business...
Read moreWednesday July 3, 2019, Craving some campfire mocha (white choc) super hard... arrived at the drive through at 8:55 PM, sat there for what felt like an eternity (approx. 1.5 minutes.lol) "Are you closed?" I asked eagerly into the speaker. No from the inside. I drove up to the window and waved my hand trying to get someone attention. Finally an employee comes to the window, "Sorry, we close at 9:00." I quickly check the time, "Its 8:57, which is before 9:00, isn't it?" I asked sarcastically. "Yeaahh, sorry we're closed", and begins shutting the window. Just before the window is fully closed I belt out another question, "Are you serious?!" The window shuts, and I drive away. I understand it was "basically" 9:00. I e worked at restaurant before, and I know how irritating it is to have a customer come in just before closing and cause the crew members to stay longer and re-clean all the equipment and/or balance the tills. But for whatever reason, this really bothered me. I felt like they team working couldn't care less about me and did not even try to explain maybe why they couldnt fulfill my order, just, "Yeaahh, sorry we're closed". Well that's my rant. Read moreI was really disappointed with my experience at Caribou. I used to tutor and study and this location frequently in the past and had nothing but good experiences. However, I used to be in the restaurant industry and if what happened to me today happened at my restaurant I would want to know. I pulled up in the drive through in the afternoom and placed my order and pulled around and there were three cars ahead of me. It took about 10 minutes to get to the window which was disapointing, but I understand things happen. The barista offered me the wrong drink twice and then asked me what my order was cause they were unsure. I told them my drink order and then waited five more minutes, and a different barista came and said make sure next time you order at the monitor. I told her I did place my order with a gentlemen at the monitor and have been waiting in the line for 15 minutes and she responded thanks for that and shut the window. As a manager I would want to know this information. A simple sorry and my drink would have not made me think twice, but to tell me it was my fault and treat me with such disrespect was not okay.
