I've lived in Newton for 4 years and work in Byram. I drive past Firehouse Pizza everyday yet today was the first time I tried them. I'm glad I did. After looking at the website, I saw a loaded Baked potato Pizza. I love baked potatoes and thought on a pizza would be kinda wild. So I called and ordered. Phone interaction was pleasant.
The restaurant is cozy. The girl at the counter was friendly and greeted me as I walked in the door. Customer service is really important to me and first impressions are so important. They really nailed both here. I took a menu and asked about a pizza I like but didn't see it on the menu. The guy making pizzas told me that he could do it. I told him I'd keep it in mind for next time. The important thing to me there was a willingness to go above and beyond.
The pizza was fair priced and on the rest of my ride home made my car smell delicious. The pizza it self looked very good, and thankfully tasted as good as it smelled. The only minor complaint is that some of the potato slices could of been cooked just a little more as some of the slices were very slightly crunchy. Not a huge deal though but enough to make me think the thought. (I still ate 4 slices of the pie) most of the potatoes I did have were fine. Perhaps cutting the slices of potatoes a bit thinner would solve this.
Overall a great pizza experience and perhaps my new go-to pizza place. I will definitely be trying there other pizzas...
Read moreWent there for dinner on Monday night. Ordered some pizza and garlic knots. Everything was amazing. Best pizza in town. Bart was working that night and made our pizzas to accommodate everyone's liking. We had one pizza with onions and spinach, one with half sausage and half pepperoni and bacon and then the penne alla vodka pizza which we never had before. Everything was amazing. Had plenty of leftovers to take home and was even great reheated. Best pizza I've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend going there. Can't wait to go back next time we are...
Read moreGreat people. The young girl at the counter and the young man in front making pizzas are both very attentive & kind. Makes the pizza just how I like it at slices ot up to my liking as well. I go there mainly for their lunch specials. Where else can you get a homemade baked ziti & meatball with a side of garlic bread for under $6. Why get fast food combos for $8 when you can get homemade food to your liking for less & fast. Usually orders ready in 15 minutes.. I hope they never raise their lunch menu prices..I'm a...
